The 15.4-inch MacBook Pro and several other Apple’s products are facing component shortages and limited supplies, according to ThinkSecret website.
“Among Macs, Apple’s 15-inch MacBook Pro is seeing the biggest backlog of orders, which is also being blamed on a component shortage that is likely related to that system’s LED-backlight display. While the online store is quoting a 7-10 day lead time, supply is expected to be very tight throughout September. Supplies of the 17-inch MacBook Pro are plentiful, however,” ThinkSecret reports.
We have checked the Apple’s online store and found that delivery time for both the 2.2 Ghz and the 2.4GHz 15.4-inch MacBook Pro models is indeed 7-10 business days. On the other side, the 17-inch MacBook Pro and the 13.3-inch MacBook laptop, both without LED-backlight displays, ship within 24 hours.
