Fujitsu Asia Pacific today revealed that they will be introducing the Fujitsu M1010 low-cost ultraportable laptop in Q4 2008.

The 2.2-pound M1010 netbook comes with an 8.9-inch widescreen display, wireless connectivity, Bluetooth, an integrated 1.3MP web camera, digital array microphones, a minimalist-looking compact form factor, and removable clip-on covers in different colors, according to the company.

MSI has unveiled three new gaming notebooks - the GX400, GX630, and GT735.

The 14.1-inch GX400 and 15.4-inch GX630 are based on Intel’s Centrino 2 mobile platform and feature Core 2 Duo processors and the Nvidia GeForce 9600M GT video cards. On the other side, the 17-inch GT735 is powered by AMD “Puma” technology, Turion X2 Ultra CPUs, and the ATi Mobility Radeon HD3850 dedicated graphics card.

Dell has recently launched the Precision M4400, a newly designed 15.4-inch mobile workstation for engineers and digital media content creators.

The Dell Precision M4400 is based on Intel Centrino 2 technology and features the latest Core 2 Duo or Core 2 Extreme processor, the NVIDIA Quadro FX 770M 512MB dedicated video card, up to 8GB of DDR2 memory, up to 320GB of hard drive space or up to 64GB of solid state drive storage, and a built-in optical drive, which can be replaced by a secondary HDD.

Dell has recently unveiled their new 14.1-inch mobile workstation for engineers and digital media content creators - the Precision M2400 - featuring Intel Centrino 2 technology, Nvidia’s workstation-class graphics, and a new chassis design.

The Dell Inspiron 13, a customizable 13.3-inch consumer laptop, is now available for purchase at the PC maker’s website.

The Inspiron 13 can be configured with an Intel Core 2 Duo processor, up to 4GB of DDR2 memory, and up to 320GB of hard drive space. The laptop comes with the Intel GMA X3100 integrated graphics, which manages the 1280×800 display, and a slot-load DVD burner.

Asustek has officially released two new gaming laptops - the Asus G50V and G71V, featuring Intel Centrino 2 technology and the Nvidia GeForce 9700M GT graphics.

The Asus G50V comes with a 15.4-inch or 15.6-inch display. The latter has a 16:9 aspect ratio, suitable for watching movies. This laptop comes with the Core 2 Duo processor and up to 640GB of hard drive space using two 320GB HDDs.

Acer has announced this week the price reduction for the Aspire One low-cost ultraporatable laptop.

“Equipped with Intel Atom processor, Windows XP Home, 1GB of RAM memory installed, 120 GB internal hard drive, and a three-cell battery, the Aspire one AOA150-1570 is now priced at $349. The Aspire one AOA110-1722 with Linpus Linux Lite is now priced at $329,” Acer says.

Intel has confirmed this week the release of 12 new laptop processors, including two quad core models.

Along with the Core 2 Extreme QX9300 and Q9100 quad core CPUs for high-performance and gaming laptops, the chip maker unveiled the new Core 2 chips, designed for use in thin-and-light and ultraportable notebooks.

Dell has launched five Special Art Edition designs by urban artist Mike Ming for the Dell Studio 15 and 17 laptops.

New designs for the Dell Studio 15 and 17 include “Red Swirl,” “Seaweed,” and “Sunburst,” in addition to the previously released “Bunch O Surfers” and “Sea Sky.”

The T5010 has a 13.3-inch display with support for digital pen input and a screen resolution of 1280×800 pixels. Customers can also choose an outdoor viewable display. Hewlett-Packard has unveiled the ruggedized HP EliteBook 2730p Tablet PC, that features a 12.1-inch display and Intel Centrino 2 technology.

The pen-based tablet starts at 3.7 pounds and includes the latest Intel Core 2 Duo Ultra Low Voltage and Low Voltage processors, support for up to 8GB of DDR2 memory, a 1.8-inch hard drive with up to 120GB of capacity or a 80GB solid state drive, and Intel’s GMA 4500 HD integrated graphics. Optical drive is provided via the separately sold HP 2700 Ultra-Slim Expansion Base.

Hewlett-Packard has announced the ruggedized HP EliteBook 2530p 12.1-inch ultraportable notebook for business users.

HP’s “smallest and lightest business notebook” weighs 3.19-pounds and meets the
military standard MIL-STD 810F for tests including dust and high temperature. It features the Intel Centrino 2 mobile platform with the new Core 2 Duo Ultra Low Voltage (ULV) or Low Voltage (LV) processors, support for up to 8GB of DDR2 RAM, and the GMA X4500 HD integrated graphics. The EliteBook 2530p offers the choice of a small 1.8-inch hard drive / solid state drive with a built-in optical drive or a standard 2.5-inch laptop HDD. The display of the notebook has a resolution of 1280×800 pixels and LED backlight.

Gizmodo has published leaked details of the upcoming Dell Inspiron 910 low-cost ultraportable notebook, featuring a 8.9-inch display and Intel’s Atom processor.

According to the specifications sheet, the 2.2-pound Inspiron 910 comes with the Atom N270 CPU at 1.6GHz, 512MB or 1GB of RAM, a 4GB, 8GB or 16GB solid state drive, 4-cell battery, and Intel’s integrated graphics. Its display has a resolution of 1024-by-600 pixels.
