Apple has updated the MacBook laptop which now features new processor and graphics chip and an improved battery life.
Besides the 13.3-inch LED-backlit glossy display at 1280-by-800 pixels, the 2010 MacBook includes the 2.4GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor, up from 2.26GHz in the previous model, the NVIDIA GeForce 320M GPU with shared memory replacing the GeForce 9400M, and up to 10 hours of battery life, three hours longer than in the 2009 MacBook.
The laptop has 2GB of DDR3 memory, a 250GB hard drive upgradeable to 500GB, the SuperDrive DVD burner, iSight web camera, a microphone, stereo speakers, the Multi-Touch trackpad, AirPort Extreme 802.11n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Gigabit LAN, two USB ports, and a mini DisplayPort connector.
Apple’s new MacBook retains the Unibody enclosure made of “rugged polycarbonate”. The notebook is 1.08 inches thin and weighs 4.7 pounds.
It runs Mac OS X v10.6 Snow Leopard and starts at $999 at the Apple Store.
