Lenovo today announced the IdeaPad S12 netbook that will feature the NVIDIA Ion platform in select models.
The company’s first 12-inch netbook includes a full-size laptop keyboard, the Intel Atom processor, Intel’s integrated GPU or 1080p-capable Ion graphics, a 160GB hard drive, 1GB of RAM, a battery life of “up to six hours” with a 6-cell battery.
The Lenovo IdeaPad S12 also sports an ExpressCard slot, an HDMI output in select models, and a 4-in-1 media card reader.
The netbook weighs in at three pounds with a 3-cell battery, according to the press release.
Lenovo’s IdeaPad S12 will be available in June with a starting price of $449. Models with the NVIDIA Ion platform will be available later this summer.
UPDATE: The first S12 netbooks are now availabe for purchase, including a model with a VIA Nano CPU and Chrome9 integrated graphics.
