Acer Aspire 5100Acer announced the new Aspire 5100 platform, a family of multimedia laptops delivering cutting-edge performance and entertainment features.

Based on the latest AMD Turion 64 X2 processor, the new Acer Aspire 5100 is designed for a 64-bit computer processing delivering dual-core performance.

“With the ability to stream digital content from MP3 players, digital cameras, digital video recorders, or personal video recorders (PVRs), the Aspire 5100 has a large Serial-ATA Hard Disk Drive (up to 160GB), a DVD super-multi double layer drive (or, upon availability, an innovative HD-DVD drive) and a handy 5-in-1 card-reader which assists users in efficiently storing thousand multimedia files for maximum flexibility”, Acer published.
