Walmart Sells Acer Aspire AS5251-1513 15.6″ Laptop for $298

Acer Aspire AS5251-1513Walmart has started offering the affordable Acer Aspire AS5251-1513 15.6″ laptop, priced at only $298.

The sub-$300 AS5251-1513 is based on the latest AMD Mainstream Notebook Platform and includes the V-Series V-120 single-core 2.2GHz processor, ATI Radeon HD 4250 integrated graphics, 2GB of DDR3 system memory, a 250GB hard drive, DVD burner, 6-cell battery providing “up to 3 hours” of battery life, and Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit OS.

The 15.6″ display has a resolution of 1366×768 pixels.

Acer’s low-cost notebook also sports a web camera, 802.11n Wi-Fi, a Gigabit LAN port, two USB ports, a multi-in-1 media card reader, and HDMI and VGA outputs.

The product page on Walmart says the notebook is currently out of stock online and that customers should check retailer’s stores for availability.

Regarding other ultra-cheap notebook offers this back-to-school season, there is also the Compaq Presario CQ60-615DX for $299.99 at Best Buy.

I have one it does have a inbuilt mic and web cam runs most games ok you might need to upgrade the memory if you need more video memory it is only set to 156mb when you get it with out upgrading you can set it to 256mb and like it says if you upgrade the memory you can set it to 893mb just keep in mind that the video memory and windows 7 uses the memory the nice thing is that this laptop holds up to 8gb of ddr3 memory and battery only last about 2 hours when gaming over all a really good buy I have had it for over 3 months now and love it

  2. this laptop is amazing i got it for 260 at walmart last one they had and i absolutely love it it has a full keyboard and windows 7 mine came with microsoft office 2010 already installed(: amazing laptop

  3. Very nice computer. Ready for skype and everything is already there. Battery life is close to 3hrs. For 298, ibought it on a snap decision and have no regrets. I run 3 sites with it and see very little as far as lag in performance

  4. i got one the other day for school. i like how it has the 10 key for math and overall for 300$ they pout alot more into it then i would think they would. i havent tested the battery life because its always plugged in, but ill be testing it alot here in a couple weeks. Also, it connected to my wireless before windows was even up and running. which was pretty cool.

  6. i bought one this week and it is pretty fast and get decent battery life. what i also noticed was that there are actually 3 usb ports, when this site says there are 2. i really like the led hd screen for videos. overall, i am pretty excited and glad that i got this computer, especially for $340.08 with tax and recycling fees included.
