Acer Aspire AS5740, AS7740 Core i3/i5 Laptops Announced

Acer has released the 15.6-inch Aspire AS5740 and 17.3-inch Aspire AS7740 entertainment-oriented notebooks, featuring Intel’s Core i3 and i5 processors.

Besides the Core i3-330M 2.13GHz and i5-430M 2.26GHz CPUs with the integrated Intel HD GPU, the AS5740 and AS7740 feature optional ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5650 1GB and 5470 512MB dedicated graphics, up to 640GB of hard drive space, a Blu-ray drive in select models, and the Gemstone Blue design.

Acer’s Windows 7 Home Premium-powered AS5740 and AS7740 also sport a web camera, stereo speakers and Dolby Home Theater Audio technology, an HDMI output, and 802.11 WiFi.

The Acer Aspire AS5740 and AS7740 Series will be available for US customers at leading retailers beginning on January 17 with a starting price of $750.
