Acer’s Aspire One 8.9-inch low-cost ultraportable, based on the Intel Atom 1.6GHz processor, is now available for purchase in the United States.
The first Aspire One model - the AOA110-1295 - can be ordered through NewBiiz for $383.14 and includes 8GB of Flash memory storage, 512MB of RAM, and a 3-cell battery. The display of this 2.2-pound netbook has a resolution of 1024-by-600 pixels.
The offered Aspire One sports a 0.3-megapixel web camera, stereo speakers, 802.11b/g wireless LAN, Ethernet LAN port, VGA output, three USB ports, and a 5-in-1 media card reader.
This model runs Linux operating system and has a white chassis.
Along with 8GB models, Acer announced last month a version with an 80GB hard drive. In addition, the Aspire One 150X model has a 120GB HDD.
