Alienware Area-51 m15xAlienware has updated its Area-51 m15x 15.4-inch gaming notebook with the new Intel Core 2 Duo and Core 2 Extreme processors, based on the latest 45-nanometer “Penryn” chip.

The Alienware Area-51 m15x is now available with the 45nm Core 2 Duo T9300 CPU 2.5GHz, T9500 at 2.6GHz, and the Core 2 Extreme X9000 at 2.8GHz, which is advertised as “the world’s highest performing mobile processor”.

The T9300 is included in the basic m15x configuration, priced at $2,149. Choosing the T9500 or X9000 will add $275 and $650 to the notebook’s price respectively.
