Alienware Area-51 m15xAlienware released the Release Candidate 1 version of the X32 BIOS for its Area-51 m15x 15.4-inch gaming notebook. The RC1 resolves any remaining performance issues left open by the previous X30 beta version, the company has announced.

The resolved problems in the m15x are related to its video card getting too hot and downclocking to reduce temperature, which also reduced gaming performance.

According to a forum post at NotebookReview, Alienware continues to “vigorously test this BIOS” and works towards a final version.
