Alienware today published that Intel Core 2 Duo (Merom) processors are now available on the Alienware Area-51 m5750, Area-51 m5550, and the Sentia m3450 laptops, “delivering up to 20% greater performance than previous-generation Core Duo processors.”
The basic 17-inch screen Alienware Area-51 m5750 and the 15.4-inch Area-51 m5550 Core 2 Duo configurations start at $1399 and $899 respectively, while 14-inch screen Alienware Sentia m3450 powered by Merom starts at $849.
“Core 2 Duo processors enhance battery life by providing significantly improved power efficiency, and feature Intel Advanced Digital Media Boost so you can enjoy twice the media performance. And while performance is maximized, delays when accessing data are minimized thanks to Intel Smart Memory Access”, Alienware published announcing its new Intel Merom laptops.
