Google AndroidPC maker Asustek develops a netbook which will run Google’s Android open source operating system, business publication Bloomberg reports.

Asustek’s main man for Eee PC netbooks Samson Hu said in an interview that a team of engineers had been assigned to develop the Android-based netbook project. However, he pointed out that the company had not yet made a decision on whether it would proceed to market with the results of the experiment.

Android is an operating system used in mobile devices. It’s based on a Linux kernel, developed by Google and later the Open Handset Alliance.
