ASUS Eee PC 2G SurfThe ASUS Eee PC 2G Surf, the cheapest model in the PC maker’s series of affordable 7-inch laptops, is now available in the United States through NewEgg for $299.99.

The ASUS Eee PC is based on an Intel Celeron M processor at 900MHz and the Intel 910GML chipset with the GMA 900 integrated graphics. This 2-pound ultraportable has a 7″ display with an 800×480 resolution. The Eee PC 2G Surf model has 512MB of DDR2 memory, a 2GB solid-state disk for data storage, and a battery life of 2.8 hours.

It also features an 802.11b/g wireless module, an Ethernet LAN connection, three USB ports, a VGA output, and a media card reader.

The ASUS Eee PC 2G Surf is available in Galaxy Black, Sky Blue, and Blush Pink colors, and runs Linux OS-based user interface.

For users requiring more storage space, a greater battery life, or a built-in web camera, there are the 4G Surf, 4G, and 8G models.
