Asus Eee PC 4GOne of the Asus Eee PC models, the $399 Pearl White Eee PC 4G, is now available for purchase in the United States through NewEgg.

This model of the Asustek’s new low-cost ultraportable personal computer features 512MB of DDR2 system RAM, 4GB of Flash memory-based storage, and a built-in web camera, which is not present in some of cheaper Eee PCs.

The product specifications on NewEgg do not mention which Intel Mobile processor, chipset, and graphics chip are used in this laptop. However, TweakTown reports the Eee PC features the Intel Celeron M CPU with 900MHz clock speed, 400MHz front-side bus, and a power consumption of only 5.5W. The notebook utilizes the 910 GML Express chipset incorporating the Intel GMA 900 graphics reportedly. The Asus Eee PC 4G’s 7-inch widescreen display provides 800-by-480 pixel resolution.

This laptop has the Realtek ALC6628 audio chip, two internal speakers, a built-in microphone, the Azure 802.11b/g wireless module, and an Ethernet LAN connection. There are also three USB ports, a MMC/SD memory card reader, and a VGA output.

The Asus Eee PC 4G weighs only 2 pounds and with a 4-cell 5200mAh battery, providing run time of up to 3.5 hours.

It features a Linux-based user interface and over 40 software applications for “learning, work and play”.
