Asus Eee PC Seashell 1008HA Announced

Asustek has announced this week the Asus Eee PC Seashell, a newly designed netbook series.

The first Seashell model is the 2.4-pound 1-inch thick Eee PC 1008HA, featuring a 10″ LED-backlit display at 1024×600, the Intel Atom N280 1.66GHz CPU, 1GB of DDR2 memory, a 160GB hard drive, a 6-cell (non user-replaceable) battery for 6 hours of run time, and Windows XP Home OS.

The 1008HA also includes a built-in 1.3MP web camera, a 92%-sized keyboard, a multi-touch track pad, stereo speakers and a microphone, 802.11n WiFi, Bluetooth, an LAN port, two USB connectors, an MMC/ SD(SDHC) card reader, and a VGA out.

The netbook will be available in six different colors: White, Black, Blue, Pink, Sapphire Blue, and Ruby Red.
