Asustek is to release the Asus F7K 17-inch entertainment notebook, based on AMD’s technology.
The Asus F7K features an AMD Turion 64 X2 dual core processor and the DirectX 10 compatible ATI Mobility Radeon HD2400 256MB dedicated video card, empowering the 17” 1440×900 widescreen display. The model mentioned on NotebookItalia website has 2GB of system memory, a 250GB hard drive at 5,400rpm, and a DVD burner.
The F7K supports 802.11a/b/g wireless LAN, Gigabit Ethernet, 56K modem, and Bluetooth connections. It also features a TV tuner and a 1.3-megapixel web camera and includes an ExpressCard slot, five USB ports, a 8-in-1 media card reader, an eSATA connector, and a Firewire, as well as HDMI, VGA, S-Video and S/PDIF outputs, and an AV-in & RF-in port.
This notebook weighs approximately 7.7 pounds with a 6-cell battery. It ships with Windows Vista Home Premium operating system.
