Asustek has officially released two new gaming laptops – the Asus G50V and G71V, featuring Intel Centrino 2 technology and the Nvidia GeForce 9700M GT graphics.
The Asus G50V comes with a 15.4-inch or 15.6-inch display. The latter has a 16:9 aspect ratio, suitable for watching movies. This laptop comes with the Core 2 Duo processor and up to 640GB of hard drive space using two 320GB HDDs.
The 17-inch Asus G71V sports the Intel Core 2 Duo, Core 2 Extreme, or the Quad Core QX9300, as well as up to 1 terabyte (TB) of storage provided by two 500GB hard drives.
The both notebooks come with up to 4GB of DDR2 system memory, the GeForce 9700GT video card providing 512MB of video RAM, optional Intel Turbo Memory 2.0 for better system responsiveness, and various optical drive options, including Blu-Ray.
Asustek’s G50V and G71V also include 2-megapixel web cameras, WiMAX-ready Intel Link 5100 wireless modules, optional Bluetooth, LED lighting effects along the laptops’ side, and the back that changes color according to the fan speed.
The notebooks run Windows Vista operating system.
Select G50V models are available now in the United States. There is no information on pricing and availability of the G71V.
