Asustek has announced the Asus M70 entertainment notebook, featuring a 17-inch display, up to 1TB of storage space, and Blu-ray support.
The M70 is based on Intel’s Centrino technology and comes with 65-nanometer Core 2 Duo T7500 and T7700 processors or 45nm T8100, T8300, and T9300 CPUs. The laptop includes the ATI Mobility Radeon HD3650 1GB video card (model M70SA) or Radeon HD3470 with 256MB VRAM (model M70SR), and up to 4GB of main memory. This notebook supports dual hard drives, providing 2×500GB of storage in the Asus M70SA model, as well as Blu-Ray optical drive option. The M70’s 17″ display has a high definition resolution of 1920-by-1200 pixels, and is accompanied by a 1.3-megapixel swivel web camera, mounted on the top of the LCD panel.
The Asus M70 also features built-in Altec Lansing speakers and Dolby Home Theater technology, HDMI output, the Intel PRO/Wireless 802.11a/b/g/n or 802.11a/b/g module, a fingerprint reader, and facial recognition functionality through the webcam.
According to the press release, the M70’s touch pad can turn into a control deck for video or music entertainment, when not used as a cursor platform.
