Asus M70Vm-X1, M70Vm-B1Asustek’s new M70 Series Asus M70Vm-X1 and M70Vm-B1 17-inch multimedia notebooks, based on Intel Centrino 2 “Montevina” platform, are now available in the United States.

The M70Vm-X1 and M70Vm-B1 are powered by the Intel Core 2 Duo T9400 2.53GHz and P8400 2.26GHz processors respectively, and come with the NVIDIA GeForce 9600M GS 512MB dedicated video card, 4GB or RAM, and a 320GB hard drive.

The Asus M70Vm-X1 has a DVD burner and a 17″ 1920×1200 display, while the M70Vm-B1 comes with a Blu-Ray Combo optical drive and a screen resolution of 1440×900 pixels.

The offered M70Vm series laptops include an 802.11n wireless module, Gigabit Ethernet, Bluetooth, and 56K modem, as well as HDMI, VGA and S-Video outputs, 4 speakers, 1.3MP web camera, fingerprint reader, four USB ports, an ExpressCard slot, e-SATA port, Firewire, and 8-in-1 media card reader.

These notebooks weigh 8.6lbs with an 8-cell battery, and run Windows Vista Home Premium OS.

The Asus M70Vm-X1 and Asus M70Vm-B1 are both priced at $1,549.99 and can be purchased through NewEgg.
