The first notebooks with Nvidia Optimus technology – the ASUS N61JV-X2 and ASUS N71JV-X1 -are available now in the US.
The Optimus switchable graphics solution in the 16-inch N61JV-X2 and 17.3-inch N71JV-X1 combines the Nvidia GeForce GT 325M 1GB dedicated video card for graphics intensive tasks and the power-saving Intel HD integrated GPU.
The N61JV-X2 includes the 2.53GHz Intel Core i5-430M processor, whereas the N71JV-X1 features the Core i3-350M at 2.26GHz. Both laptops have 4GB of DDR3 memory, a 500GB hard drive, a DVD burner, and Windows 7 Home Premium OS.
The ASUS N61JV-X2 and N71JV-X1 are priced at $900 and can be purchased through Amazon and Newegg respectively.
