Asus T83 UMPCAsustek showcases at CeBIT in Hannover - Germany its new ultra-mobile PC, the Asus T83 UMPC, which features 7-inch 800 x 480 touch-screen display, a 1GHz Via C7-M processor, 512MB of main memory expandable to 2GB, and an upgradeable 30GB hard drive. The T83, unlike its precursor Asus R2H, has a QWERTY keyboard and six hours of battery life, compared to R2H’s 2 hours, Engadget reports.

Asus T83 950-gram UMPC also incorporates GPS module, Bluetooth, wireless and a digital camera.

The Asustek’s second generation UMPC is expected to be available starting in Q3 2007 for between $899 and $999, and will feature Windows XP and Linux operating system options.
