The Asus UL30A, a 13.3-inch laptop that belongs to the new thin-and-light UL30 series, is now available in the United States.
Newegg offers the UL30A-X1 model that includes the Intel Core 2 Solo SU3500 CULV 1.4GHz processor, the GMA 4500MHD integrated graphics, 4GB of DDR3 memory, a 320GB hard drive, an 8-cell battery, and Windows Vista Home Premium OS. The UL30A utilizes LED backlight for its 13.3″ 1366×768-pixel glare display.
According to Asus, the laptop has a battery life of up to 12-hours, depending on configuration and prevailing usage.
Other features include a multi-gesture touchpad, built-in stereo speakers enhanced by SRS Premium Sound, an 0.3MP web camera, 802.11n wireless, an Ethernet LAN port, HDMI and VGA outputs, three USB ports, and a 5-in-1 media card reader.
The Asus UL30A-X1 weighs 3.74 lbs and measures less than 1-inch in profile. It has a brushed aluminum lid.
The laptop is currently priced at $600.
