Asus VivoTab Note 8 M80TA

Asus has officially unveiled the VivoTab Note 8 M80TA 8-inch Windows 8.1 tablet with quality Wacom pen input technology as the main differentiation from other devices with the same form factor and OS.

The specs including the Intel Atom “Bay Trail” Z3470 quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM, up to 64GB of internal storage, 1280 x 800 screen resolution, IPS display technology, front / rear 1.2MP / 5MP cameras, microSD, and a lack of video output were already known from the previous leaks and user manuals. But, today’s press release is still important because it confirms inclusion of a pressure-sensitive Wacom digitizer, which offers superior pen input experience on today’s market, as well as a fairly low price of $300.

Asus says a free copy of Microsoft Office Home and Student is pre-installed on the VivoTab Note M80TA and that the battery life lasts up to eight hours on a single charge. However, there’s no word on GPS connectivity, which was mentioned in the first leak. For sure, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth are included, as well as stereo speakers.

All these features are packed in a 0.43″ thin device with a weight of 0.83 pounds.

Asus says the VivoTab Note 8 will hit the market this spring.
