Asustek has added high-definition multimedia features to its Asus W2Pb entertainment laptop computer series. The W2Pb now incorporates HD DVD reader and a 17-inch WUXGA+ screen with higher 1920×1200 resolution.
Regarding other multimedia features, there are HDMI output, DVB-T tuner, a TV tuner and SPDIF, as well as speakers system with built-in subwoofer.
The HD Asus W2Pb model comes with Intel Core Duo processor T7200 at 2.0 GHz and ATI Radeon X1700 gaphics card with 256MB of video memory. The notebook ships with 2GB of main memory and 160GB hard drive at 5400rpm.
The W2Pb weights 7.95 lbs and has Windows Vista Home Premium OS pre-installed.
Currently there is no information on pricing and availability.
