Best Buy has introduced the Next Class series laptops for college students.
“Designed directly from customer insight,” the four-unit lineup includes the 14-inch Dell Studio 1440-022B ($750) and Toshiba Satellite M505-S4940 ($650), the 14.1-inch HP Pavilion dv4-1465dx ($746), and the 15.5-inch Sony VAIO VGN-NW125J/T ($800).
The Next Class laptops feature Intel’s Pentium or Core 2 Duo processor and 3GB or 4GB of RAM, depending on model, as well as a 320GB hard drive.
The notebooks run Windows Vista Home Premium OS and include a full version of Microsoft Office Home & Student, and 12-15 months of free anti-virus protection.
