Canon PIXMA iP90vCanon today announced its new portable PIXMA iP90v Photo Printer. The mobile, sleek and stylish Canon PIXMA iP90v provides photo and document printing via USB port, as well as via IrDa (.jpeg images only) and optional Bluetooth connections with laptop or even cell phone.

The PIXMA iP90v enables black and white printing with speed of up to 16 pages per minute (ppm) and up to 12 ppm in color. The postcard sized borderless photo will be done for approximately 81 seconds using the iP90v. The maximal resolution for black and white is 600 x 600 dpi, and 4800 x 1200 dpi for color printing.

Canon’s new portable printer also has Direct Print Port and is compatible with Windows Vista, Windows XP/2000/98/Me and Mac OS X v.10.2.8 to 10.4.x operating systems.

The PIXMA iP90v will be available for an estimated selling price of $249.99. The optional user installable Bluetooth Unit (BU-10), will have an estimated selling price of $79.991. Users will also have the option to purchase a Portable Kit (LK-51B), which includes a Lithium Ion battery with an approximate 450 page life per two-hour charge, along with the battery housing that connects the battery to the printer, for a suggested list price of $99.99.

There is no information on Canon PIXMA iP90v’s availability date.
