ASUS G71Gx Gaming Laptop with GeForce GTX 260 Announced
Asustek has announced the ASUS G71Gx gaming laptop with the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 260M, the “world’s fastest notebook graphics processor”.
The 17-inch G71Gx also has three SO-DIMM slots for up to 12GB of DDR2 800MHz memory, up to 1TB of storage space using two 500GB hard drives, Blu-ray support, and four built-in Altec Lansing speakers. The display resolution is 1920×1200.
ASUS U, UX Laptops Announced
Asustek has announced the newly designed ASUS U and UX Series laptops, featuring “contemporary styling and effortless elegance”.
The ASUS U has a 15.6-inch LED backlit display, Intel’s Core 2 Duo processor, the NVIDIA GeForce G 105M 512MB dedicated video card, up to 500GB of hard drive space and Altec Lansing speakers. The laptop has illuminated keyboard and touchpad.

Asus Intros Dual Panel Notebook Concept
Asustek (Asus) has unveiled a dual panel notebook concept at 2009 CeBIT in Hannover, Germany.
The company explains that the dual panel concept offers a “flexible working space in which users can adapt to suit their prevailing usage scenarios, for example adjusting the size of the virtual touchpad and keyboard”.

Asus K Series Notebooks Introduced
Asustek introduced yesterday the Asus K Series, a “smart choice of notebooks designed to provide users with no-frills day-to-day computing and steadfast reliability”.
The Asus K laptops feature the proprietary ASUS Super Hybrid Engine (SHE) for better energy efficiency. The K Series delivers “up to 5 hours of non-stop computing on a 6-cell battery”.

Asus Lamborghini VX5 Luxury Laptop Features 1TB SSD
Asustek has announced the Asus Lamborghini VX5, a luxury 16-inch laptop equipped with “the world’s largest density Solid State Drive standing at 1TB”.
Along with the 1TB SSD, the Lamborghini VX5 features an Intel Core 2 Quad processor, 4GB of RAM, the NVIDIA GeForce GT 130M 1GB video card, a Blu-ray combo optical drive, and TwinTurbo technology that users can utilize to accelerate system’s performance via a speed key.

ASUS W90Vp-X1 Available; Features Radeon HD 4870 X2, 18.4″ Display
Asustek’s new entertainment laptop PC - the 18.4-inch ASUS W90 - is now available in the United States.
The first offered model is the ASUS W90Vp-X1. Along with the 1920 x 1200 widescreen display, the desktop replacement notebook features the Intel Core 2 Duo T9600 processor at 2.80GHz, the high-end ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4870 X2 1GB dual video card for gaming, three SO-DIMM slots populated with 6GB of DDR2 memory, a 320GB 7,200rpm hard drive, and a DVD burner. The W90 is based on the Intel X38 chipset, designed for use in desktop PCs.
Asustek Develops Android-Based Netbook
PC maker Asustek develops a netbook which will run Google’s Android open source operating system, business publication Bloomberg reports.
Asustek’s main man for Eee PC netbooks Samson Hu said in an interview that a team of engineers had been assigned to develop the Android-based netbook project. However, he pointed out that the company had not yet made a decision on whether it would proceed to market with the results of the experiment.
ASUS N81Vg - World’s First Laptop with GeForce GT 120M GPU
Asustek announced yesterday the 14-inch ASUS N81Vg, the world’s first notebook to feature the new NVIDIA GeForce GT 120M graphics processing unit.
Along with the HD-capable 120M with 32 processor cores, DirectX 10 support and NVIDIA CUDA technology, the ASUS N81Vg features the Intel Core 2 Duo processor, up to 4GB of DDR2 memory, up to 500GB HDD space, and a DVD burner or Blu-ray combo drive and a 1.3MP web camera. The display is glare type and uses LED backlight.

Asus X71SL 17″ Entertainment Laptop Overview
The Asus X71SL is a recently launched 17-inch entertainment laptop, featuring Intel’s Core 2 Duo processor, the NVIDIA GeForce 9300M G 256MB graphics, and SiS M671DX chipset.
Currently, there are two X71SL models in the US market: the X71SL-B2 with the Core 2 Duo P8400 2.26GHZ CPU and Windows Vista Business OS and the X71SL-A1 with the T5800 at 2GHz and Vista Home Premium. Both notebooks feature 4GB of DDR2 memory, a 320GB hard drive, and a DVD burner. The display has a resolution of 1440 x 900 pixels.

ASUS Eee PC 1000HE Available for Pre-Order
The ASUS Eee PC 1000HE netbook, featuring a 10-inch screen, a new Intel Atom processor, and a battery life of “up to 9.5 hours”, is now available for pre-order at Amazon.com.
The first Eee PC 1000HE models are the black EPC1000HE-BLK005X and blue EPC1000HE-BLU002X. According to the product page at Amazon, the new version of the popular mini-laptop is based on an unnamed Intel Mobile Chipset. The system includes the Atom N280 CPU with a 1.66GHz clock speed and a 667MHz FSB, which is up from 1.6GHz and 533MHz of the older N270. The Windows XP Home-based EPC1000HE-BLK005X and EPC1000HE-BLU002X have a 160GB hard drive, 1GB of DDR2 memory, and a 1.3MP web camera. The display has a resolution of 1024×600 pixels and LED backlight.
ASUS S121 Ultraportable Announced
Asustek has announced the ASUS S121 stylish ultraportable, featuring a 12.1-inch display and Intel’s Atom processor.
Along with a LED backlight screen and the Atom Z520 CPU at 1.33GHz, the laptop includes a single SODIMM slot for up to 2GB of DDR2 memory, a 1.8″ hard drive with up to 250GB of storage space or a 512GB solid state drive, a built-in web camera, 802.11n wireless LAN, Gigabit Ethernet, and Bluetooth.
Asus Eee PC T91, T101H Convertible Netbooks Unveiled
At the ongoing 2009 CES Show in Las Vegas, Asustek is displaying the Asus Eee PC T91 and Eee PC T101H convertible netbooks that feature 8.9-inch and 10-inch touchscreen displays respectively.
Besides the touch-enabled panels with a 180 degree rotatable hinge, the Eee PC T91 and T101H include the Intel Atom Z520 processor and run Windows XP operating system. The company revealed that the T91 model features a built-in GPS receiver, TV tuner, and an FM transmitter. On the other side, the T101H sports a new type of Eee PC keyboard with a MacBook-like “island layout”.
ASUS W90 High-End Entertainment Notebook Unveiled
Asustek showcases a new high-end entertainment notebook - the ASUS W90 - at the ongoing 2009 CES Show in Las Vegas.
The W90 is a desktop replacement laptop with a 18.4- or 17-inch display, depending on model, the ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4870 X2 or HD 3850 X2 dual graphics, or a single NVIDIA GeForce 9800 GS GPU, and the Intel Core 2 Duo processor. The system is based on the Intel X38 chipset and has three SO-DIMM slots for up to 6GB of DDR2 memory. Asustek’s high performance notebook is additionally equipped with the Turbo Gear function, which allows users to overclock the machine by “up to 25%”.
Asus Eee PC 1002HA Now Available for Preorder
The Asus Eee PC 1002HA, Asustek’s new 10-inch netbook, is now available for preorder in the United States.
According to the product pages at ZipZoomFly and Buy.com, the 2.6-pound Eee PC 1002HA features the Intel Atom N270 1.6GHz processor, 1GB of DDR2 memory, a 160GB hard drive, a 2-cell battery for “up to 4 hours” of battery life, and Windows XP Home operating system. The LED-backlit display has a resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels.
