The Asus Eee PC 1025C netbook with the next-gen Intel Cedar Trail mobile platform has arrived at FCC, meaning that we will soon be able to see it in stores and at online retailers.
Although it has a new design, which looks sharper and more elegant than previous Eee PC-branded netbooks, the main news regarding the 1025C are its innards. It’s the first Cedar Trail netbook, so it will come with the new Intel Atom processor. That could be either the 1.6GHz Atom N2600 or 1.86GHz N2800, but no matter what their clock speeds are both will support 1080p video playback and will provide better power efficiency since they are built using the 32nm production process, versus 45nm of the previous Pine Trail chips.
