Rumor: Dell XPS 17 Update – L702x – Coming Soon

Dell will release soon the Dell XPS 17 L702x 17-inch entertainment laptop, which will replace the recently launched L701x, according to a blog post by software engineer Eric G.

The Dell XPS 17 L702x will include multi-touch and 3D display options and Nvidia’s Optimus switchable graphics technology with the GeForce GT 440M 1GB or GT450M 3GB video cards, and up to 16GB of DDR3 RAM.

Dell XPS 15Dell today officially launched the new XPS entertainment laptop lineup, including the 15.6-inch Dell XPS 15.

As same as the XPS 14 and 17, the XPS 15 provides a choice of Intel’s Core i5 and i7 processors and Nvidia’s Optimus switchable graphics technology, which saves battery life. It comes with the dual core i5-460M or i5-560M, or with quad core i7-740QM or i7-840QM. Besides the Intel HD integrated graphics, the XPS 15 has the NVIDIA GeForce GT435M or GT420M dedicated video card. The notebook is offered with 6 or 8GB of RAM, up to 640GB 7,200rpm hard drive or up to 256GB solid state drive, and a DVD burner or Blu-ray combo.

Dell XPS 14, 15, 17 Laptops Leaked; Coming Today

Dell XPS 15 L501xDell will launch today the new Dell XPS higher-end consumer laptop lienup, including the 14-inch XPS 14 L401x, 15.6″ XPS 15 L501x, and the 17.3″ XPS 17 L701x.

Besides the new chassis design with aluminum lid and palmrest, the leaked Dell XPS 14, 15, and 17 feature Intel Core i3, i5, and i7 processors, Nvidia’s Optimus switchable graphics with GeForce GT 420M 1GB or 425M 2GB dedicated GPU, up to 16GB of RAM, JBL speakers, optionaly integrated TV tuner, optional backlight keyboard, 720p HD webcam, and USB 3.0.

There’s no word on pricing, but we assume we will have that info soon.

Update: The XPS 14, 15, and 17 are avaialble now and start at $899.99, $849.99, and $949.99 respectively at the Dell online store.

Dell Studio XPS 15 17Dell is going to release the new Studio XPS laptop line, including the Studio XPS 15 and 17, according to a post on LesDelliens forum.

Sources from Dell France say the Studio XPS 15 and 17 will include the lastest Intel Core processors, up to Core i7, and Nvidia’s dedicated graphics. The XPS 15 will ship with up to 8GB of RAM and up to 750GB hard drive, whereas the 17 will have up to 16GB RAM and dual HDDs for maximum 1.2TB of storage space. There’s no info on screen sizes, but we assume the 15 and 17 will have display diagonals of around 15″ and 17″, respectively.

The failure rates for Asus, Toshiba, Sony, Apple and Dell notebooks are 15.6, 15.7, 16.8, 17.4, and 18.3 percent, respectively.

Dell Adamo XPS 13Dell has launched the Adamo XPS 13, an ultra-thin 13.4-inch laptop with an innovative hinge that rises the keyboard for a more comfortable typing.

The “world’s thinnest laptop” is 0.4 inch thin and weighs 3.5 pounds. It features Intel’s SU9400 1.4GHz ultra-low voltage processor, the GMA 4500MHD integrated graphics, 4GB of DDR3 RAM, a 128GB solid state drive with Windows 7 Home Premium pre-installed, and up to 5 hours 17 minutes of run time with the optional extended battery. The display uses LED backlight and has a resolution of 720p.

The newly designed Studio XPS 1340 and 1640 include the latest Intel Core 2 Duo processors, up to 500GB of hard drive storage or a 128GB solid state drive, and a slot-load optical drive with Blu-ray option in the larger model. The 1340 comes with 4GB of DDR3 memory, the NVIDIA GeForce 9400M G or 9500M 256MB graphics and a screen resolution of 1280×800 pixels, while the 1640 includes up to 8GB of DDR3 RAM, the new ATI Mobility Radeon M86XT (HD 3670) 512MB GPU, and a 1366×768 display.
