Everex CloudBook MAX Coming in 2H 2008

Everex Cloudbook MAXThe Everex CloudBook MAX - an improved version of the company’s low-cost ultraportable laptop - will be available in the second half of 2008, according to the product page at Everex’s website.

Weighing less than 2.2 pounds, the Cloudbook MAX features a 8.9-inch display with 1024-by-600 resolution, which is an improvement over the 7″ 800×480 screen in the current CloudBook CE1200V model. The MAX incorporates an 1.6GHz VIA C7-M ULV processor, 1GB of DDR2 memory (expandable to 2GB), and an 80GB hard drive. The system is based on VIA’s new VX800 chipset with the Chrome9 HC3 integrated graphics.

Everex VA1500V gBook $399 15.4″ Laptop Now Available

Everex VA1500V gBookThe Everex VA1500V, the company’s new low-cost notebook PC, is now available.

This $399 15.4-inch laptop, also known as the gBook, is based on the VIA C7-M processor at 1.50GHz and the VIA Chrome9 HC integrated graphics. The Everex VA1500V comes with 512MB of DDR2 memory, a 60GB hard drive, and a DVD/CD-RW Combo optical drive. Its display has a resolution of 1440-by-900 pixels.

Everex CloudBook CE1200V Now in Stock at Wal-Mart

Everex CloudBook CE1200VAfter a few delays, the Everex CloudBook CE1200V ultra-mobile PC is now available for purchase through Wal-Mart.

The CloudBook is the first computer for the U.S. market based on the VIA NanoBook low-cost device with a 7-inch display and a laptop-like design.

Everex CloudBook Delayed to February 15th

Everex CloudBook CE1200VEverex has delayed the launch of its CloudBook CE1200V ultra-mobile PC. This small and affordable system, which was scheduled for release on January 25th, will be available at Walmart.com and ZaReason.com beginning February 15th, according to the updated product page on Everex.com.

The CloudBook features a 7-inch display and a laptop-like design. It is the first device for the U.S. market based on the VIA NanoBook, incorporating the C7-M ULV processor. The CloudBook weighs two pounds and has a claimed battery life of five hours. It runs gOS V2 Rocket operating system.

VIA Nanobook (Everex CE260 Should Look Similar)Everex will release in the United States the CE260 ultra mobile computer based on VIA NanoBook device, BrightHand reports.

Currently, the pricing and availability dates of the Everex CE260 are not known. It is expected to be affordable because VIA NanoBook UMD (Ultra-Mobile Device), scheduled for release during the second half of 2007, is “targeted at aggressive consumer price points”.

Everex StepNote NC1501Everex unveiled today the StepNote NC1501, an “Energy-Efficient” $499 (update: $399 at BestBuy.com) notebook computer featuring VIA C7 M processor and a claimed battery life of up to 4.25 hours with its 6-cell Lithium Ion battery.

Along with VIA C7 M CPU at 1.5GHz, Everex StepNote NC1501 comes with 512MB of DDR2 memory, 60GB 5400rpm SATA hard drive and a DVD burner. Its 15.4-inch widescreen display providing 1280 x 800 resolution is powered by VIA Chrome9 integrated graphics with up to 128MB of shared video RAM.

The 15.4-inch widescreen Stepnote VA4101M comes with Windows Vista Home Basic Edition preinstalled and it’s powered by Intel Celeron M Processor at 1.46GHz. It has 512MB of DDR2 533 SDRAM memory, which is upgradeable to up to 2GB. Everex Stepnote VA4101M incorporates VIA Chrome9 HC integrated graphics which powers the screen with 1280 x 800 maximal resolution and shares up to 128MB of system memory. It ships with 60GB hard drive and a DVD burner.

Everex StepNote NC1500Everex StepNote NC1500 15.4-inch widescreen laptop can be found at Wal-Mart for $498. Unlike the majority of notebooks on the market, which are powered by Intel’s or AMD’s processors, the StepNote NC1500 features VIA C7-M processor. The C7-M is clocked at 1.5GHz and has 256KB of cache.

The offered laptop has 512MB of DDR2 memory expandable to up to 2GB, a 60GB PATA hard drive, DVD burner and an integrated S3 UniChrome Pro graphics with up to 64MB of shared video memory. Regarding Internet and connectivity, Everex StepNote NC1500 has 802.11b/g wireless, Ethernet LAN and a 56K modem. It also features three USB ports, VGA out, but there is no mention on PCMCIA or ExpressCard slot.
