Fujitsu Lifebook with SLEDFujitsu has received Novell YES Certification for SUSE Linux Enterprise Desktop (SLED) Linux distribution on four LifeBook mobile PCs.

The certified notebook models include the Fujitsu LifeBook U810 ultra-mobile PC, LifeBook T2010, LifeBook P1620 ultra-portable convertible notebooks, and the LifeBook S6510 thin and light laptop.

Fujitsu LifeBook N6470Fujitsu’s LifeBook N6470 17-inch entertainment laptop, featuring the new Intel Core 2 Duo “Penryn” 45nm processor, is now available.

The LifeBook N6470 comes with the Core 2 Duo “Penryn” T8100 at 2.1GHz or T8300 2.4GHz CPU, depending on customer’s choice. The notebook has the ATI Mobility Radeon HD 2600 dedicated video card, which manages a 1440-by-900 pixel display. This system provides up to 600GB of hard drive storage using two HDDs and supports up to 4GB of system memory. Optionally, purchasers can choose the 1GB Intel Turbo Memory for better system responsiveness. Regarding optical drive, there are Blu-Ray or DVD burner options.

Fujitsu LifeBook E8410 with Intel Penryn CPU Now Available

Fujitsu LifeBook E8410The refreshed Fujitsu LifeBook E8410 15.4-inch desktop replacement laptop, which now comes with the Intel Core 2 Duo “Penryn” 45-nanometer processor, is available for purchase.

Along with the Core 2 Duo T7500 “Merom” 65nm CPU, the notebook can be ordered with the T8100 “Penryn” at 2.1GHz. According to a specifications sheet, the E8410 will be also available with the 45nm T9300 at 2.5GHz. The new E8410 configurations feature the integrated Intel Graphics Media Accelerator X3100, while the T7500-powered model includes the Nvidia GeForce 8400M 128MB dedicated video card. Both graphics solutions manage the 15.4″ display with a 1280×800 or (WXGA) or 1680×1050 (WSXGA+) resolution. On the top of the LCD panel, there is a 1.3-megapixel web camera.

Fujitsu LifeBook P1620 Small Tablet PC Released

Fujitsu LifeBook P1620Fujitsu has announced this week the LifeBook P1620 small and light Tablet PC, featuring an 8.9-inch touch screen display, Intel’s Centrino technology, and Fujitsu Portshutter data leak prevention software.

The Fujitsu LifeBook P1620 comes with the Intel Core 2 Duo Ultra Low Voltage U7600 dual core processor at 1.2GHz, which is an upgrade from the single core U1400 ULV CPU in the previous P1610 model. However, the P1620 still uses the older Centrino “Napa” mobile platform with the Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 950 integrated GPU. The LifeBook P1620 supports up to 2GB of system memory, and comes with up to 100GB standard hard drive or a 32GB solid state drive. This convertible notebook does not have a built-in optical drive.

Fujitsu LifeBook P8010The new Fujitsu LifeBook P8010 ultraportable laptop, featuring a 12.1-inch LED backlight display, a claimed battery life of 6.5 hours, and an Intel Core 2 Duo processor, is now available for purchase.

This sub three-pound notebook has almost the same footprint as its predecessor - the 10.6-inch screen LifeBook P7230. The P8010 comes with the Core 2 Duo SL7100 Low Voltage processor at 1.2GHz, accompanied by the Intel GS965 chipset with the integrated GMA X3100 graphics. It has a 1280-by-800 display and a built-in 1.3-megapixel web camera on the top of the LCD panel. The laptop supports up to 4GB of system memory and ships with up to 200GB hard drive. The new LifeBook has an integrated DVD burner or Combo optical drive, depending on customer’s choice.

Fujitsu Introduces First Intel Penryn LifeBooks

Fujitsu LifeBook E8410 with PenrynFujitsu Computer Systems has introduced the LifeBook A6120, LifeBook N6470 and LifeBook E8410 desktop replacements, the company’s first notebooks powered by the line of next-generation 45-nanometer Intel Core 2 Duo “Penryn” mobile processors.

All three “Penryn”-based notebooks have improvemed performance, graphics capabilities, and battery life, over their 65nm “Merom”-powered precursors, according to the PC maker.

Fujitsu LifeBook S7211Fujitsu Computer Systems has announced the LifeBook S7211 14-inch notebook, aimed at cost-conscious small and medium size business customers.

The Fujitsu LifeBook S7211 starts at $899 and features the Intel Pentium Dual-Core Processor T2330 at 1.6 GHz or the Intel Core 2 Duo T5250 CPU at 1.5 GHz, depending on model. The notebook is based on the Intel GM965 chipset with the Graphics Media Accelerator X3100. This integrated GPU manages the S7211’s 14.1″ Crystal View widescreen display with a 1280-by-800 pixels resolution. The laptop features 1GB of DDR2 system memory, expandable to 4GB, a 120GB hard drive at 5,400rpm, and a modular bay, that fits an optical drive, an additional battery for up to 6.5 hours of run time, or a weight-saver.

Fujitsu LifeBook A6110The Fujitsu LifeBook A6110, the company’s new affordable 15.4-inch laptop starting at $799 after rebates, is now available for purchase.

Based on the Intel “Santa Rosa” platform, the multimedia-oriented LifeBook A6110 series notebooks feature a Core 2 Duo processor and the Intel GM965 chipset with the GMA X3100 integrated graphics. The A6110 features 1GB or 2GB of system memory and a 160GB or 200GB hard drive, depending on configuration. There are also a DVD burner and the 1GB Intel Turbo Memory module for faster system booting and responsiveness. The notebook’s 15.4” widescreen display provides 1280-by-800 screen resolution.

Fujitsu LifeBook V1010Fujitsu today announced the affordable LifeBook V1010 15.4-inch laptop series, starting at $799.

The basic Fujitsu LifeBook V1010 configuration features the Intel Pentium Dual-Core T2130 processor at 1.86GHz, 1GB of DDR2 system memory, a 120GB hard drive, a DVD burner, and the Intel GMA 950 integradted graphics, managing the 15.4″ widescreen display with 1280-by-800 resolution. Customers can also purchase the V1010 with the Core 2 Duo Processor T5200 at 1.6 Ghz and 2GB of RAM for an additional $100.

Fujitsu LifeBook U810Fujitsu LifeBook U810, the company’s first ultra-mobile PC for the US makret, is now available for purchase. The “World’s smallest tablet convertible” U810 is based on the Intel’s Ultra Mobile Platform 2007, and has a 5.6-inch touch-sensitive display, a QWERTY keyboard, a weight of just 1.56 pounds, and a claimed battery life of up to 5.5 hours with a standard 4-cell battery.

The LifeBook U810 is equipped with the Intel A110 Ultra Low Power processor at 800MHz and uses a 400MHz front side bus. This convertible laptop-like UMPC has 1GB of DDR2 system memory, and a 40GB 1.8-inch hard drive at 4200rpm. Its 5.6” display with finger and pen input capability provides 1024-by-600 pixel resolution and is managed by the integrated graphics, which is a part of the U810’s Intel 945GU chipset.

Fujitsu LifeBook BiodegradableFujitsu has designed a notebook computer with a biodegradable chassis, CNet reports.

“The Fujitsu LifeBook sports a chassis made from a plastic made from cornstarch, rather than petroleum. When it is disposed of, the chassis will decompose in a matter of months, as opposed to decades for standard plastic,” according to CNet.

Fujitsu LifeBook T2010Fujitsu announced today the U.S. availability of the LifeBook T2010 Tablet PC, which features a 12.1-inch display, Intel’s “Santa Rosa” platform, the Core 2 Duo Ultra Low Voltage processor, and a claimed battery life of up to nine hours.

This pen-enabled convertible laptop has a WXGA 1280-by-800 pixels display with LED-backlighting and an enhanced outdoor viewing capability. The LifeBook T2010 is based on Intel 965GM chipset with the integrated GMA X3100 video controller and is paired with Core 2 Duo ULV U7600 or U7500 processor, depending on configuration. It ships with 1GB to 4 GB (actual 3.24 GB) of DDR2 system memory. The CPU and memory in this Tablet PC operate at 533MHz front side bus, which is slower than 800MHz/667MHz FSB in common “Santa Rosa”-based mobile computers with full-voltage processors.

Fujitsu LifeBook N6460Fujitsu has expanded its desktop replacement notebook PC lineup with the Intel “Santa Rosa” platform-based 17-inch LifeBook N6460, which provides Core 2 Duo processor, ATI Radeon HD 2600 graphics, HDMI port, and high definition optical drives option.

According to laptop’s specifications, Fujitsu LifeBook N6460 is based on Intel PM965 chipset, paired with Core 2 Duo T7300, T7100 or T5250 CPU, depending on model. Its ATI Mobility Radeon HD 2600 video card with 256MB of dedicated graphics memory is DirectX 10 compatible and empowers the 17″ widescreen display with resolution of 1440-by-900 pixels. The notebook supports up to 4GB of DDR2 system memory and comes with up to 500GB of storage space by combining two 250GB internal hard drives at 4200rpm rotational speed.

Along with dual core Turion TL-60 processor at 2GHz and the integrated ATI Radeon Xpress 1150 graphics, Fujitsu LifeBook A3130 features 2GB of DDR2 system memory, expandable up to 4GB, and a 120GB SATA hard drive with 5400rpm rotational speed. The notebook’s 15.4″ widescreen display has 1280-by-800 pixel screen resolution, 450-nits brightness, 600:1 contrast ratio, as well as 120 degrees horizontal and 90 vertical viewing angles. The Lifebook A3130 comes with a DVD burner.
