Dell XPS M1730 Now with GeForce 8800M GTX SLI Option

Dell XPS M1730The Dell XPS M1730 gaming notebook is now available with the NVIDIA GeForce 8800M GTX SLI dual graphics card option.

Dell’s performance team says the XPS M1730 with two GeForce 8800M GTX 512MB video cards earned a score of almost 13,500 in 3Dmark06 benchmark, which is about 49% performance gain over dual 8700M GT 512MB cards in the same notebook.

HP Pavilion HDX Now with Nvidia GeForce 8800M GTS Option

HP Pavilion HDXHewlett-Packard has updated this week the HP Pavilion HDX entertainment and gaming notebook with a new graphic card option.

The Pavilion HDX, which was available only with the ATI Mobility Radeon HD 2600 XT 256MB video card, is now also configurable with the Nvidia GeForce 8800M GTS 512MB GPU.

Gateway P-6831FXThe Gateway P-6831FX, the company’s new 17-inch gaming laptop which features the Nvidia GeForce 8800M GTS video card, is now available for purchase.

Customers can order the P-6831FX for $1,349.99 through Best Buy. This notebook, which is a part of the new P-Series FX Edition line, features the Intel Core 2 Duo T5450 processor at 1.67GHz, 3GB of DDR2 system memory, a 250GB hard drive, and a DVD burner. The GeForce 8800M GTS high end GPU in the Gateway P-6831FX has 512MB of discrete GDDR3 video memory and manages a 17″ 1280-by-800 display.

The recently announced Area-51 m15x gaming laptop is based on the Intel PM956 chipset and comes with an Intel Core 2 Duo or Core 2 Extreme mobile processor, depending on customer’s choice. The incorporated Nvidia’s top of the line GeForce 8800M GTX mobile graphics card has 512MB of dedicated video memory. Asus G2Sg Laptop Features Penryn CPU, GeForce 8700M GT

Asus G2SgAsustek has published details of the upcoming Asus G2Sg, their fist product in the G2S 17-inch gaming notebook series to feature the new 45-nanometer Intel Core 2 Duo “Penryn” processor and the Nvidia GeForce 8700M video card.

The Asus G2Sg incorporates the Core 2 Duo T8100, T8300, T9300 or T9500 “Penryn” CPU, with speeds ranging from 2.1 GHz to 2.6 GHz. Instead of the Nvidia GeForce 8600M GT graphics card with 256MB of dedicated video memory, utilized in previous G2S laptops, the G2Sg comes with the GeForce 8700M GT 512MB GPU. This graphics solution manages the notebook’s 17″ glossy display which has a resoluton of 1920-by-1200 or 1440-by-900 pixels, depending on model.

Asus Lamborghini with Intel Penryn CPUAsus showcases the company’s first notebooks based on the Intel Core 2 Duo “Penryn” processor at the ongoing 2008 Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas.

The Intel “Penryn” CPUs, produced using new 45-nanometer technology, can be found in the Asus Lamborghini Mini VX3 ultraportable, the Asus Lamborghini VX2Sn, Asus M51Sr, and F8p notebooks, and in the G70 and G1Sn gaming laptops.

Toshiba Satellite X205-SLI4, SLI2The Toshiba Satellite X205-SLI4, the company’s new 17-inch gaming laptop, features an Intel Core 2 Duo “Penryn” 45-nanometer processor and the “Santa Rosa Refresh” mobile platform, according to a product page on Ecost.com.

The newest 45nm Intel Core 2 Duo T8100 CPU with a 2.1GHz clock speed and 3MB of L2 cache is paired with two Nvidia GeForce 8600M GT graphics cards in the Satellite X205-SLI4. These GPUs, which manage the notebook’s 17″ 1680×1050 display, operate in SLI mode and provide 512MB of dedicated GDDR3 video memory.

Dell XPS M1730 World of Warcraft EditionDell will launch a line of the XPS M1730 gaming notebooks with custom designs inspired by Blizzard Entertainment’s World of Warcraft game, NotebookReview reports.

The Dell XPS M1730 World of Warcraft Edition will have the same hardware specifications as the standard XPS M1730 notebook, which features a 17-inch display, Intel’s Core 2 Duo/Extreme processor, single or dual Nvidia GeForce graphics cards, and the AGEIA PhysX 100M physics processing unit. However, the exterior of the special edition laptop will have World of Warcraft designs along with original designs on the wings, LCD back and hinge cover reportedly. There are also exclusive original WoW artwork desktop backgrounds and screen savers.

Alienware Area-51 m17x, Area-51 m15xThe Alienware Area-51 m17x and m15x gaming laptops, which incorporate the latest NVIDIA GeForce 8800M video cards, a feature called BinaryGFX for switching between integrated and dedicated graphics, and Intel Core 2 Extreme processors, will become available during the first quarter of 2008, the company announced yesterday.

The Alienware Area-51 m17x sports a 17-inch display supporting a 1080p (1920-by-1200 pixels) high definition resolution. The screen is managed by dual Nvidia GeForce 8800M GTX or dual Nvidia 8700M GT graphics cards operating in SLI mode. This high-end laptop provides up to 640GB of data storage, plus an expandable Smart Bay hard drive option. The m17x ships with a Blu-Ray burner and supports up to 4GB system memory. In addition, it has the 1GB Intel Turbo Memory option for better system responsiveness. The Alienware’s upcoming notebook provides 802.11a/b/g/draft n wireless connectivity and an optional built-in TV tuner.

Black-Hawk XR5PC MicroWorks has announced the Black-Hawk XR5 17-inch gaming/workstation notebook, featuring a quad-core processor and two NVIDIA’s new Geforce 8800M GTX mobile video cards in SLI mode.

The Black-Hawk XR5 is configurable with the Intel Core 2 Quad Q6700 CPU at 2.66GHz, as well as with Core 2 Extreme and Core 2 Duo. All of these chips are designed for use in desktop computers. The dual NVIDIA Geforce (”Go”) 8800M GTX option provides users with 1GB of dedicated GDDR3 video memory and support for DirectX 10 games. The 8800M GTX has not been officially announced yet. However, it is expected to be the most powerful graphics card for laptops this year.

Nvidia Prepares GeForce 8800M GTX; Specs Leaked

NVIDIANvidia prepares the release of the GeForce 8800M GTX video card for notebooks, the leaked Alienware’s laptop specifications revealed.

According to the information published on Alienware.com, the PC maker will unveil the 15.4-inch Area-51 m15x featuring the optional single Nvidia 8800M GTX and the 17-inch Area-51 m17x with an option of two of these video cards operating in SLI mode.

Gateway to Launch Gaming Laptop Early Next Year
