The Alienware M18x 18.4-inch gaming notebook by Dell is now available for purchase.
With prices ranging from $2,000 to around $6,000, the M18x features 2nd Genaration Intel Core quad-core processor choices, up to a factory-overclocked i7 2920XM Extreme edition at 4GHz, and single and dual AMD/ATI and Nvidia video card options. Customers can choose between the single and dual 1.5GB GDDR5 NVIDIA GeForce GTX 460M or dual-only 2GB GDDR5 AMD Radeon HD 6970M.
MSI GX680 & GX780 Gaming Notebooks Get Priced, Coming May 30
US-based e-tailer Excaliber PC now lists the 15.6-inch MSI GX680 and 17.3″ MSI GX780 gaming notebook PCs, featuring a 2nd Gen Intel Core processor and Nvidia GeForce dedicated graphics.
Priced at $1,199 and $1,399 respectively after $100 instant savings, the GX680 and GX780 include the Core i7-2630QM 2.0GHz-2.9GHz quad-core CPU, GeForce GT 555M 1GB GDDR5 video card, full HD displays, and a sound system with four speakers and Dynaudio technology. The former has 6GB of DDR3 system memory and a 500GB hard disk, while the latter comes with 8GB RAM and a 750GB HDD.

MSI has announced its Intel “Sandy Bridge”-based notebook lineup, including the G, F, and C series models, and an AMD-based X series notebook.
The updated gaming-class MSI G series comprises of 15.6-inch models with 2nd Generation Intel Core i7 quad-core processors. These are the MSI GT680 and GX680 with Nvidia’s “top-line” video cards, optional full HD display, a sound system with a subwoofer, and TDE overclocking technology; the MSI GE620 with the Nvidia GeForce GT 540M higher-end graphics; and the GR620 with an unnamed GPU.

MSI GX680 Gaming Laptop Announced
Micro-Star Int’l has released their new top-of-the-line gaming laptop – the MSI GX680.
The 15.6-inch notebook includes the quad-core Intel Core i7 2630QM processor, Nvidia GeForce GT 555M 1GB GDDR5 video card, four memory slots for up to 16GB of DDR3 memory, dual hard drive bays with RAID 0 support, and a Blu-ray combo drive or DVD burner.
Toshiba Qosmio X500-Q930X with Fixed Chipset Now Available
Toshiba has released the Qosmio X500-Q930X, a new version of the Intel “Sandy Bridge”-based 18.4-inch gaming and multimedia laptop.
The Toshiba Qosmio X500-Q930X replaces the recalled X500-Q930S. Both notebooks have the same specifications and the only difference is apparently the fixed Intel 6 series “Cougar Point” chipset (B3 stepping) in the Q930X, which was faulty in the earlier version of the notebook.
Toshiba Recalls Sandy Bridge-Based Satellite, Portege, Qosmio Laptops
Toshiba today recalled select laptop models, based on 2nd Generation Intel Core “Sandy Bridge” processors, due to the recently discovered error on the included Intel 6-Series “Cougar Point” chipset.
The notebooks affected by the flaw are select Satellite A660 / A665, L655, and M645 series models, the Satellite E305-S1990, select Toshiba Portege R835 laptops, select Qosmio X505 series systems, and the Qosmio X500-Q930 model.

Nvidia GeForce GTX 485M Now Available in Gaming Notebooks
Providers of custom gaming notebooks in the U.S. have started adding the Nvidia GeForce GTX 485M video card option to their Clevo-based laptops.
Nvidia’s new top-of-the-line notebook graphics can be found in the 17.3-inch Intel “Sandy Bridge”-based SAGER NP8170 (Clevo P170HM) and Intel desktop CPU-powered AVA Direct Clevo X7200, in single and up to dual GPU configurations, respectively.

The Dell Alienware M17x R3, the third version of the company’s 17.3-inch gaming laptop, is now available for purchase.
