HP EliteBook 6930pHewlett-Packard has announced that its HP EliteBook 6930p laptop with optional ultra-capacity battery and solid state drive delivers up to 24 hours of continuous operation on a single battery charge.

“Designed and tested to last, HP batteries benefit from a combination of HP engineering and energy-efficient notebook components such as Intel solid-state hard drives (SSD) and mercury-free LED displays. For example, the highly efficient HP Illumi-Lite LED display boosts battery run time by up to 4 hours compared to traditional LCD displays, while the Intel SSD provides up to a 7 percent increase in battery life compared to traditional hard drives,” HP says.

HP EliteBook 2730p Ruggedized Tablet PC Unveiled

HP EliteBook 2730pHewlett-Packard has unveiled the ruggedized HP EliteBook 2730p Tablet PC, that features a 12.1-inch display and Intel Centrino 2 technology.

The pen-based tablet starts at 3.7 pounds and includes the latest Intel Core 2 Duo Ultra Low Voltage and Low Voltage processors, support for up to 8GB of DDR2 memory, a 1.8-inch hard drive with up to 120GB of capacity or a 80GB solid state drive, and Intel’s GMA 4500 HD integrated graphics. Optical drive is provided via the separately sold HP 2700 Ultra-Slim Expansion Base.

HP Announces the EliteBook 2530p Ruggedized Ultraportable

HP EliteBook 2530pHewlett-Packard has announced the ruggedized HP EliteBook 2530p 12.1-inch ultraportable notebook for business users.

HP’s “smallest and lightest business notebook” weighs 3.19-pounds and meets the
military standard MIL-STD 810F for tests including dust and high temperature. It features the Intel Centrino 2 mobile platform with the new Core 2 Duo Ultra Low Voltage (ULV) or Low Voltage (LV) processors, support for up to 8GB of DDR2 RAM, and the GMA X4500 HD integrated graphics. The EliteBook 2530p offers the choice of a small 1.8-inch hard drive / solid state drive with a built-in optical drive or a standard 2.5-inch laptop HDD. The display of the notebook has a resolution of 1280×800 pixels and LED backlight.

HP EliteBook 6930p Rugeddized Laptop Launched

HP EliteBook 6930pHewlett-Packard has launched the HP EliteBook 6930p 14.1-inch business laptop, the first model in the new EliteBook ruggedized series.

The newly designed 4.7-pound notebook meets the military standard MIL-STD 810F for vibration, dust, humidity, altitude, and high temperature. It has a shock-resistant hard drive and spill-resistant keyboard, as well as brushed anodized-aluminum exterior combined with a magnesium alloy chassis. HP says the EliteBook provides an “all-day battery life”.

HP’s Montevina-, Puma-Based Laptops Coming in July

Intel Montevina-Based HP PavilionHP today introduced 16 new notebook PCs for consumers and business users. The newly designed laptop series feature models based on the latest mobile platforms - Intel Centrino 2 “Montevina” and AMD “Puma”.

The consumer-oriented laptop lineup includes the HP Pavilion dv4, dv5, and dv7 Entertainment Notebook PCs with the new liquid-metallic HP Imprint 2 surface design, as well as the Compaq Presario CQ45, CQ40 and CQ50 Series. Business customers are going to be offered with 10 new mobile systems, including the ruggedized HP EliteBook, and the redesigned “b”-series and “s”-series.
