HP Mini 311 ION LE-Based Netbook Launched

HP Mini 311HP launched today the Mini 311, an 11.6-inch netbook based on Nvidia’s ION platform.

Along with the 1366×768 LED-backlight display, the 3.2-pound Mini 311 sports the 1.6GHz Intel Atom N270 CPU, the ION LE graphics with support for full 1080i/p HD decoding, 1GB of RAM, a 160GB HDD, a 6-cell battery, and a 92% of full-size keyboard.

HP Pavilion dv8, dm1, dm3 Laptops, Mini 311 Netbook Leaked

HP Pavilion dm3Hewlett-Packard is going to release the HP Pavilion dv8 desktop replacement notebook, the Pavilion dm1 and dm3 ultraportables, and the Mini 311 netbook, according to some leaked product pages at hp.com, blog posts, and laptop listings.

The HP Pavilion dv8 features one of Intel’s next generation quad core CPUs - the Core i7 720QM - and an 18.4-inch display. The Intel CULV-based dm1 and dm3 include Core 2 Duo ultra-low voltage chips and 11.6″ and 13.3″ screens respectively. Finally, the HP Mini 311 is built on NVIDIA Ion netbook platform. It has the Intel Atom N270 CPU and an 11.6-inch display.

HP Announces Mini 5101 Netbook

HP Mini 5101Hewlett-Packard announced today the newly designed HP Mini 5101 10.1-inch netbook, featuring the Intel Atom N280 CPU at 1.66GHz, up to 320GB HDD at 7,200rpm or an 80GB solid state drive, Windows XP Home or SUSE Linux OS, and a 4-cell or 6-cell battery.

The LED backlight display has a resolution of 1024-by-600 or 1366-by-768 pixels. It’s managed by the Intel GMA 950 video chip.

HP Mini 110 XP Netbook Overview

HP Mini 110 XPHewlett-Packard’s recently announced netbook, the 10.1-inch HP Mini 110 XP is available for purchase starting today.

The Mini 110 XP runs Windows XP OS and comes with an Intel Atom N270 1.6GHz or N280 1.66GHz processor, the GMA 950 integrated graphics, 1GB of DDR2 memory, a 160GB hard drive or up to 32GB of solid state drive storage, and a 3- or 6-cell battery. An optional Broadcom Crystal HD Enhanced Video Accelerator for 1080p video content is expected to be available in July.

HP Mini 110 MiHP’s new Linux-based netbook, the 10.1-inch HP Mini 110 Mi Edition is available now.

The Mini 110 Mi runs an HP-developed Linux interface, called Mobile Internet, and comes with an Intel Atom N270 1.6GHz or N280 1.66GHz CPU, the GMA 950 integrated graphics, up to 2GB of DDR2 RAM, up to 250GB of hard drive or up to 64GB of solid state drive storage, and a 3- or 6-cell battery.

HP Mini 1101 Netbook Overview

HP Mini 1101Hewlett Packard has recently unveiled the HP Mini 1101, a new 10.1-inch netbook for business users.

The Mini 1101, based on Intel’s Atom N270 1.6GHz CPU and 945GSE chipset, comes with 1GB or 2GB of DDR2 memory, up to 250GB of hard drive space or a 32GB solid state drive, and a 3- or 6-cell battery. The netbook with Windows XP Home preinstalled supports up to 1GB of RAM, whereas Windows Vista Business-based systems support up to 2GB.

HP Mini 110, 1101 Netbooks Announced

HP Mini 110Hewlett-Packard today expanded the HP Mini netbook family with three new models - the HP Mini 110 XP Edition and Linux-based HP Mini 110 Mi, both for consumers, and the HP Mini 1101 for business users.

The Mini 100 / 1101 models, all with 10.1-inch LED backlight displays, are based on Intel’s Atom N270 / N280 processors. The Mini 110 XP will additionally include an optional Broadcom HD video chip for decoding of 1080p high-definition content.

HP Mini Mi Linux-Based Netbook Launched

HP Mini MiHewlett-Packard launched today the HP Mini Mi series, a Linux-based version of the Mini 1000 netbook.

Mi stands for Mobile internet. It’s a user-friendly interface built on Linux operating system. With Mi users get open source software, including a web browser, e-mail client, instant messaging application, OpenOffice for word processing, spreadsheets, and presentations, and multimedia software. However, the traditional Linux command line interface is disabled on this edition.

HP Mini 1000The basic price for the HP Mini 1000 netbook will be $359.99 starting on Sunday 12/07/08, after a $40 drop, according to an email that we have received from Hewlett-Packard.

The basic Mini 1000 configuration currently includes an 8.9-inch display, the Intel Atom N270 processor at 1.6GHz, 1GB of RAM (after a free upgrade from 512MB), an 8GB solid state drive, 3-cell battery, and Windows XP Home operating system.

HP to Release Compaq Mini 700 Netbook

HP Compaq Mini 700Hewlett-Packard is going to unveil the Compaq Mini 700 netbook, similar to the recently announced HP Mini 1000, according to UK-based websites Pocket Lint and T3.

The Compaq Mini 700 has only a few differences when compared to the Mini 1000: the 700 comes an optional HSDPA modem and has a Compaq logo instead of an HP logo.

The low-cost ultraportable, based on the Intel Atom N270 1.6GHz processor, is initially offered in three variants – the standard HP Mini 1000, Mini 1000 Vivienne Tam Edition, and Mini 1000 with MIE (Mobile Internet Experience) Linux OS.
