HP Pavilion G60-519WMWalmart will be offering the HP Pavilion G60-519WM 15.6-inch laptop for $298 on November 7, according to the retailer’s ads.

The Pavilion G60-519WM includes the Intel Celeron 900 processor at 2.2GHz, the GMA 4500M integrated graphics, 3GB of DDR2 memory, a 250GB hard drive, a DVD burner, 802.11b/g Wi-Fi, a 56k modem, two USB ports, a VGA output, and Windows 7 Home Premium OS.

HP Pavilion dv8t QuadThe HP Pavilion dv8t Quad Edition series is Hewlett-Packard’s new 18.4-inch entertainment notebook.

The Pavilion dv8t Quad Edition utilizes the latest quad-core Intel Core i7 720QM or 820QM processor and replaces the 18.4″ Core 2 Duo/Quad-powered HDX18t, which is no longer available at HP.com. The dv8t Quad features the Nvidia GeForce GT 230M 1GB video card, up to 8GB of DDR3 memory, up to 1TB of hard drive space using dual HDDs, and a Blu-ray burner or Blu-ray combo drive. The display has a full HD resolution of 1920×1080 pixels and is covered with edge-to-edge glass.

The Pavilion dv7t Quad utilizes the latest quad-core Intel Core i7 720QM or 820QM processor, whereas the standard Pavilion dv7t comes with the dual-core Intel Core 2 Duo CPU. The Quad Edition includes the Nvidia GeForce GT 230M 1GB video card, up to 8GB of DDR3 memory, up to 1TB of hard drive space using dual HDDs, and a DVD burner or Blu-ray combo drive. The 17.3″ LED-backlight display has a resolution of 1,600×900 pixels and is offered with a choice of edge-to-edge glass.

HP Pavilion dv6t Quad (dv7t, dv8t Quad look similar)Hewlett-Packard has launched the 15.6″ HP Pavilion dv6t Quad, 17.3″ dv7t Quad, and 18.4″ dv8t Quad Edition entertainment notebook series, based on Intel Core i7 quad-core mobile processors and Windows 7 operating system.

Along with the Core i7-720QM 1.6GHz or i7-820QM 1.73GHz CPU and 64-bit Windows 7 Home Premium or Professional Edition, the Pavilion Quad laptops include the Nvidia GeForce GT 230M 1GB dedicated video card, up to 8GB of DDR3 memory, and a DVD or Blu-ray optical drive. The dv6t Quad comes with up to 500GB of hard drive space, while the dv7t Quad and dv8t Quad provide up to 1TB of storage using two hard drives.

HPThe HP Pavilion dv8, Hewlett-Packard’s upcoming 18.4-inch etnertainment notebook, features the Core i7 mobile processor and the NVIDIA GeForce dedicated graphics, according to a leaked product page at hp.com.

The specifications of the dv8-1080 model include the Intel Core i7-720QM 1.6GHz CPU, the GeForce GT 230 video card with 1GB of video memory, up to 8GB of RAM, up to 640GB of storage using two hard drives, a Blu-ray combo drive, and a full HD display resolution of 1920×1080 pixels.

HP Pavilion dm3 Laptop Announced

HP Pavilion dm3Hewlett-Packard announced today the HP Pavilion dm3 13.3-inch entertainment notebook PC, featuring the latest Intel Core 2 Duo or AMD Neo Dual Core processors, a choice of Intel shared or ATI or NVIDIA discrete graphics, a run time of “up to 10 hours” via the standard 6-cell battery, a brushed aluminum chassis, and Windows 7 operating system.

Measuring less than one-inch thin and weighing 4.2 pounds, the HP Pavilion dm3 also sports up to 500GB of hard drive space, optionally built-in mobile broadband connection, and a low-light web camera.

HP Pavilion dv8, dm1, dm3 Laptops, Mini 311 Netbook Leaked

HP Pavilion dm3Hewlett-Packard is going to release the HP Pavilion dv8 desktop replacement notebook, the Pavilion dm1 and dm3 ultraportables, and the Mini 311 netbook, according to some leaked product pages at hp.com, blog posts, and laptop listings.

The HP Pavilion dv8 features one of Intel’s next generation quad core CPUs - the Core i7 720QM - and an 18.4-inch display. The Intel CULV-based dm1 and dm3 include Core 2 Duo ultra-low voltage chips and 11.6″ and 13.3″ screens respectively. Finally, the HP Mini 311 is built on NVIDIA Ion netbook platform. It has the Intel Atom N270 CPU and an 11.6-inch display.

“Designed directly from customer insight,” the four-unit lineup includes the 14-inch Dell Studio 1440-022B ($750) and Toshiba Satellite M505-S4940 ($650), the 14.1-inch HP Pavilion dv4-1465dx ($746), and the 15.5-inch Sony VAIO VGN-NW125J/T ($800).

HP Pavilion dv2zThe HP Pavilion dv2z 12.1-inch entertainment ultraportable laptop, initially available as the preconfigured dv2-1030 system, can be customized and purchased now at the company’s website.

The AMD Yukon-based dv2z can be ordered with the single-core Athlon Neo MV-40, Athlon Neo X2 dual-core L335, or Turion Neo X2 dual-core L625 CPU, all clocked at 1.6GHz. The notebook features up to 4GB of DDR2 memory and up to 500GB of hard drive space, as well as an optional external optical drive - a DVD burner or a Blu-ray Combo. Video card choices include the integrated ATI Radeon X1250 or the Radeon 3410 HD Premium 512MB dedicated GPU with support for high-definition video content.

HP Recalls 70,000 Batteries for Pavilion, G Series, Compaq Laptop

Laptop BatteryThe U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission and Health Canada, in cooperation with Hewlett-Packard, yesterday announced a voluntary recall of Lithium-Ion batteries used in select HP and Compaq laptops.

The recall includes around 70,000 units that can potentially overheat, “posing a fire and burn hazard to consumers”.

Unlike the AMD-powered dv3z, the Pavilion dv3t is based on Intel’s technology and features the Intel Core 2 Duo processor, Intel GMA 4500MHD integrated graphics or the NVIDIA GeForce G 105M 512MB dedicated GPU, as well as up to 8G of DDR2 memory, up to 500GB of hard drive space, and a DVD burner or Blu-ray Combo optical drive.

HP Pavilion dv2Hewlett-Packard has released the HP Pavilion dv2 (dv2-1030), an ultraportable notebook based on AMD’s new platform called Yukon.

Measuring under 1-inch thick and weighing at 3.95 pounds, the Pavilion dv2 (model dv2-1030us) packs a 12.1-inch 1280×800 LED backlight display, the Neo MV40 CPU at 1.6GHz, ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3410 512MB discrete graphics, 4GB of DDR2 memory, up to 320GB of hard drive space, and a 6-cell battery. The laptop has no built-in optical drive.

HP Pavilion dv6t / dv6zHewlett-Packard has launched the HP Pavilion dv6z notebook PC, featuring a 16-inch display and AMD’s processor technology.

Unlike the Intel-powered dv6t, the Pavilion dv6z uses the AMD Athlon or Turion dual core CPU. The laptop features the ATI Radeon HD 3200 integrated graphics or Radeon HD 4530/4650 dedicated GPUs, depending on customer’s choice. It comes with up to 8GB of DDR2 memory, up to 500GB of hard drive space, and a DVD buerner or Blu-Ray combo optical drive.

HP Ships Enviro Series Battery for Laptops, Gives 3-Year Warranty

HP Enviro Series Sonata BatteryNew laptop batteries, based on the latest Boston Power’s Sonata technology, are available now as accessories for 18 existing Hewlett-Packard notebook models.

Sonata Li-ion cells in the HP Enviro Series batteries are claimed to deliver sustainable performance for three years, which is “three times longer than most other notebook computer batteries”. HP is providing a three-year warranty on the batteries. In addition, the batteries are Ecolabel-certified.
