HP Pavilion g6, g7 for 2012 Coming This Summer, Start at $450

The 15.6″ HP Pavilion g6 and 17.3″ g7 budget laptops will hit the US market on July 25th, with prices starting at $450, the PC maker has announced.

The Pavilion g-series for 2012 are made of plastics, and feature beveled edges, bowl-shaped keyboards, textured touchpads, and a chrome strip around the speaker bar. The chassis color choices are black, white, red, blue, and purple. HP hasn’t provided details on the notebook duo, but they are expected to come with various Intel and AMD CPU choices, including higher-end 3rd Generation Intel Core chips, as well as with dedicated GPU options.

The key differentiator between the m6 and other Pavilion notebooks is a sleeker design and use of brushed aluminum on palm rests and lid on the former. The keyboard is chiclet-style and has optional backlight.

The configurable 2012 15.6″ dv6tqe and 17.3″ dv7tqe start at $900 and $950 respectively, and will start shipping to customers on May 9th. If you need to have one of the Ivy Bridge Pavilion laptops tomorrow, you can select pre-configured ready-to-ship models.

The Intel Core i7-3612QM-powered HP Pavilion dm4-3110tx Beats Edition is already on sale in China. The product page has a working “Buy” button, which adds the laptop to the chart, so this is probably the first Ivy Bridge notebook available for purchase.

Laptop Reviews site has discovered lists of HP Pavilion laptops with Intel 3rd Generation Core processors, codenamed “Ivy Bridge”.

The first known HP Ivy Brdige laptops are the Pavilion dv6 and dv7, which currently sport 15.6″ and 17.3″ displays, respectively. It’s almost certain that the upcoming models will have the same screen sizes.

Hewlett-Packard today announced refreshed 14-inch thin-and-light HP Pavilion dm4t entertainment laptop series.

Less than 1 inch thin and weighing less than 4.5 pounds, the new Pavilion dm4t features an improved sound system. The previous Altec-Lancing stereo speakers are replaced by Beats Audio-branded sound system which includes a subwoofer. In addition, the laptop has received keyboard backlight option and optional Intel Smart Response Technology for faster boot times and software loading.

HP g7-1219wm 17.3″ Notebook to Sell on Black Friday for $388

With a price of $388, the HP g7-1219wm is not intended to be the main Walmart Black Friday door-buster.

It’s more expensive than the HP 2000-329WM and Compaq Presario CQ57-319WM, but on the other side it has better specifications. The HP g7-1219wm from the Pavilion series, listed in Walmart’s Black Friday catalog, packs a larger 17.3″ screen, the newer AMD Fusion E-450 processor with dual CPU cores at 1.65GHz, the Radeon HD 6320 integrated graphics, and a dedicated HD video decoder for smooth 1080p video playback. It has more RAM and a larger hard drive than the HP 2000 and CQ57 – 4GB and 500GB, as well as a webcam, and a 5-in-1 media card reader.

Hewlett-Packard has unveiled the new Pavilion consumer laptops, now featuring the latest Llano Fusion Accelerated Processing Units by AMD.
