Hewlett-Packard has replaced this morning its Pavilion dv2500, dv6500, and dv9500 consumer notebook series with the new HP Pavilion dv2700, dv6700 and the dv9700.

Customers now can choose between the Intel-powered dv6700t and dv9700t, or AMD processor-based dv6700z and dv9700z. The dv6700 laptops feature 15.4-inch displays, while the dv9700 has a 17-inch screen. There are also the 14.1-inch dv2700t with Intel CPU and special edition models - the Pavilion dv6700tse, dv2700tse, and dv2700tbw.

Hewlett-Packard will launch the HP Pavilion dv2600 14.1-inch customizable laptop this week, according to NotebookReview. The dv2600 is basically the same as the currently available dv2500t notebook, but with the new Imprint Finish called “Verve”.

The “Verve” design, “inspired by the fluidity of life” and “laser-etched by an inlaid moulding process”, has been already seen on the dv2550se (special edition) laptop, sold through BestBuy earlier this summer.

Hewlett-Packard released today the HP Pavilion dv2500t Broadband Wireless notebook, which has a built-in support for the Verizon BroadbandAccess WWAN service.

The Pavilion dv2500t laptops have been already offered with the external Wireless V740 ExpressCard for the Verizon’s WWAN network, while the dv2500t Broadband Wireless notebooks provide the WWAN connectivity via a built-in module.

Hewlett-Packard has announced several updates to its HP Pavilion notebook line for consumers. The updates include the new dv2500z and dx6500 notebooks, and the addition of a WWAN option in the Pavilion dv2500 series laptops.

Although there are no details of the new HP Pavilion dv2500z, it is known that this 14.1-inch widescreen laptop will be the AMD-powered version of the dv2500t, which is based on Intel’s chips. We assume the dv2500z will have internal components similar to those in the 15.4-inch dv6500z and the 17-inch dv9500z. It will most likely feature an AMD Turion 64 X2 dual core processor, NVIDIA’s integrated and dedicated video card options, up to 4GB of system memory, a built-in optical drive, various Wi-Fi options, including those supporting draft 802.11n wireless networks, an optional Bluetooth, an Ethernet LAN and a 56K modem, as well as a built-in web camera, a fingerprint reader, and common ports and slots.

Hewlett-Packard updated today its HP Pavilion notebook lineup with the dv6500z and dv9500z models, both powered by AMD’s processors and NVIDIA’s nForce 630M chipset.

The 15.4-inch HP Pavilion dv6500z and the 17-inch dv9500z feature AMD Turion 64 X2 dual core processor options. The dv6500z is offered with Turion 64 X2 CPUs clocked at up to 2.2GHz, while the dv9500z additionally provides a choice of the latest Turion 64 X2 TL-66 processor at 2.3GHz. By default, these laptops ship with the NVIDIA GeForce Go 7150M graphics integrated into the nForce 630M chipset, while for more demanding users there is the NVIDIA GeForce 8400M GS dedicated video option.

The HP Pavilion HDX entertainment laptop PC, featuring a 20.1-inch display, Intel “Santa Rosa” platform, Intel Core 2 Duo or Core 2 Extreme processor, ATI Mobility Radeon X2600 XT graphics, HD DVD drive, HDMI output and a dockable Media Center remote control, is now available for purchase.

HP Pavilion HDX, the Hewlett-Packard’s biggest consumer notebook to date, supports 1680 x 1050 resolution and high-definition 1080p quality on its 20.1″ Ultra BrightView widescreen display. A dual hinge lets you tilt the screen and move it forward or backward for better comfort. The graphics is powered by the DirectX 10-compatible ATI Mobility Radeon HD 2600 XT with 512MB of dedicated video memory, while the sound is managed by Altec Lansing speakers (4 Panel Mounted and 1 Sub-Wolfer). The HDX supports up to 7.1 external speaker configurations and features the integrated HP HDTV Hybrid NTSC/ATSC TV Tuner.

Laptop Magazine, CNet, AnandTech and PC World have reviewed recently 15.4-inch HP Pavilion dv6500t mainstream notebook, aimed at multimedia users. In addition, ReviewPub has published a review of the Pavilion dv6500t Special Edition laptop.

According to Laptop Magazine, Intel’s “Santa Rosa” platform and the latest Core 2 Duo processor in the dv6500t provide good performance and very good battery life. The reviewed model had the new integrated Intel GMA X3100 graphics, which is claimed to delivered better results on 3DMark03 tests than the previous dv6000t with integrated GMA 950 GPU. However, the X3100 is not powerful enough to handle serious 3D gaming, the Magazine says.

Hewlett-Packard has refreshed its HP Pavilion dv9500t, dv6500t, and dv2500t notebooks with NVIDIA Geforce 8400M dedicated graphics, and additionally dv9500t and dv6500t models with HD-DVD optical drive option. The PC maker also unveiled the Pavilion dv6500tse Special Edition laptop, which features a white finish instead of a standard black found in other dv6500t models.

The 14.1-inch widescreen (1280×800) HP Pavilion dv2500t is configurable with the latest Intel Core 2 Duo T7100 (1.8GHz/2MB L2 cache) and T7300 (2.0GHz/4MB L2 cache) processors. The new laptop has Intel Graphics Media Accelerator X3100, which is integrated into “Santa Rosa’s” GM965 chipset. HP Pavilion dv2500t comes with up to 2GB of DDR2 system memory, although the notebook supports up to 4GB of RAM, and with up to 160GB SATA hard drive at 5400rpm. Along with DVD/CD-RW Combo Drive, the HP’s dv2500t can be purchased with DVD burner or with DVD burner featuring LightScribe technology for inscribing labels onto DVD media.

The 17-inch widescreen (1440×900 or 1680×1050) HP Pavilion dv9500t is currently configurable with the new Intel Core 2 Duo T7100 (1.8GHz/2MB L2 cache), T7300 (2.0GHz/4MB L2 cache) and T7500 (2.2GHz/4MB L2 cache) processors. This entertainment notebook incorporates GM965 chipset featuring integrated Intel Graphics Media Accelerator X3100. HP Pavilion dv9500t is offered with up to 2GB of DDR2 system memory, although it supports up to 4GB, and with up to 400GB of storage capacity using two hard drives. The refreshed HP Pavilion dv2000, dv6000 and dv9000 entertainment notebooks will feature Intel “Santa Rosa” notebook platform with a new integrated graphics, a wireless N connectivity, and paired with new Intel Core 2 Duo processors, according to leaked products’ specifications.

The available documents show “Santa Rosa”-based 15.4-inch dv6000 and 17-inch dv9000 Pavilions will be configurable with Intel Core 2 Duo T7300 (2GHz, 4MB L2 Cache) and 7100 (1.8GHz, 2MB L2 Cache) processors. HP’s 14.1-inch dv2000 laptop will be additionally offered with a new Intel Core 2 Duo T5450 processor at 1.67GHz with 2 MB of L2 cache. All of mentioned CPUs run at 800MHz front side bus.

HP Pavilion tx1000, the tablet PC announced at CES 2007, is now available for purchase at Hewlett-Packard’s web site. The tx1000z model has a starting price of $1,299 with standard notebook 12.1-inch 1280×800 widescreen display, and $1,425 with touch-screen feature.

Computer vendors HP and Dell start to sell notebooks with Windows Vista operating system this weekend.

HP includes Windows Vista Home Premium Edition in Pavilion notebook’s price, while Business and Ultimate will increase the computer’s price for $40 and $115, respectively. Select Pavilion models include Home Basic Edition, which decreases the overall price for $35 when compared to same laptops with Home Premium.

Hewlett-Packard’s the latest HP Pavilion tx1000 Tablet PC, with AMD Turion 64 X2 dual-core processor, 12.1-inch WXGA touch-screen display and Windows Vista OS, was recently reviewed by Laptop Magazine, CNet and PC Magazine. The HP tx1000 is said to have innovative design and a lot of features, as same as affordable price. But, it also has “mediocre tablet implementation”, according to the reviews.
