New HP ProBook b- & s-series Coming This June

Besides the EliteBook higher-end business laptops, HP has announced the refreshed ProBook lineup designed for the more budget-conscious biz people.

The new models are the ProBook b-series 6470b/6475b and 6570b, with 14″ and 15.6″ displays, respectively, and the s-series 14″ 4440s, 15.6″ 4540s/4545s, and 17.3″ 4740s. The ProBook s will also come in a 13.3-inch variant, according to HP. The models ending with 0 number before the last letter are with the 2012 Intel processors, while those ending with 5 use AMD’s CPUs.

HP ProBook 4540s Notebook with Intel i5 ‘Ivy Bridge’ Leaks

Hungarian online magazine Laptop Kalauz has posted the first pictures of the HP ProBook 4540s, which is an Intel Ivy Bridge-based update of the 15.6″ 4530s business notebook.

The ProBook 4540s has the same screen size and 1366×768 resolution. The display is matte, which is usual for a business-use notebook. The case is slightly redesigned, but it’s still made of brushed aluminum and the isle-style keyboard keys appear to be the same like on the precursor.

HP unveiled today new laptop models across their Pavilion, Envy, Mini, ProBook, and Elitebook laptop series.

Hewlett-Packard has announced their business notebook laptop lineup for 2011, including ten new HP EliteBook and ProBook models with 2nd Generation Intel Core “Sandy Bridge” processors.

The 14-inch EliteBook 8460p and 15.6-inch EliteBook 8560p belong to higher-end professional laptop offerings and have business-rugged HP DuraCase chassis that meets MIL-STD 810G military-standard. The laptops include a platinum color tone finish, the Intel Core i7, i5 and i3 processors, integrated graphics or AMD Radeon HD 6470M dedicated video card, USB 3.0 technology, and various storage, wireless connectivity, and battery options, including the HP Ultra-Capacity Notebook battery that provides the EliteBook 8460p with up to 32 hours of battery life.

AMD Phenom Laptop CPUs Spotted; Quad-Core Included

AMD Select computer makers have released laptops with unannounced AMD Phenom processors, including quad-core chips.

An AMD Phenom II X4 quad-core CPU with an unknown model name is included in the Dell’s latest Inspiron M501R, while an Acer Aspire 5553G notebook with the Phenom II X4 N930 (2.0GHz/2MB/35W) is spotted on Amazon.de. On the other side, HP has announced a notebook that employs a new AMD Phenom II Dual-Core N620 processor, offering “up to 69 percent faster performance than previous-generation HP AMD-powered notebooks” and “up to 24 percent longer battery life”.

HP ProBook 4420s Overview

The HP ProBook 4420s, Hewlett-Packard’s latest 14-inch business-class notebook, is now available.

The ProBook 4420s features the low-voltage Intel Core i7-620LM, standard-voltage i5-520M, i5-430M, i3-350M, or i3-330M CPU, the Intel HD integrated graphics that comes on the CPU itself and a maximum of up to 8GB of DDR3 main memory. For data storage there’s up to 500GB of hard drive space and you can burn CDs and DVDs with the included DVD burner. Blu-Ray Combo optical drive is optional. The display resolution is 1366-by-768 pixels.

Featuring 13.3-, 14-, 15.6- and 17.3-inch LED-backlit displays, the HP ProBook 4320s, 4420s, 4520s and 4720s are based on the Intel Core i3, Core i5 and Core i7 processors.
