Dell XPS 15 Overview
Dell today officially launched the new XPS entertainment laptop lineup, including the 15.6-inch Dell XPS 15.
As same as the XPS 14 and 17, the XPS 15 provides a choice of Intel’s Core i5 and i7 processors and Nvidia’s Optimus switchable graphics technology, which saves battery life. It comes with the dual core i5-460M or i5-560M, or with quad core i7-740QM or i7-840QM. Besides the Intel HD integrated graphics, the XPS 15 has the NVIDIA GeForce GT435M or GT420M dedicated video card. The notebook is offered with 6 or 8GB of RAM, up to 640GB 7,200rpm hard drive or up to 256GB solid state drive, and a DVD burner or Blu-ray combo.
Dell XPS 14, 15, 17 Laptops Leaked; Coming Today
Dell will launch today the new Dell XPS higher-end consumer laptop lienup, including the 14-inch XPS 14 L401x, 15.6″ XPS 15 L501x, and the 17.3″ XPS 17 L701x.
Besides the new chassis design with aluminum lid and palmrest, the leaked Dell XPS 14, 15, and 17 feature Intel Core i3, i5, and i7 processors, Nvidia’s Optimus switchable graphics with GeForce GT 420M 1GB or 425M 2GB dedicated GPU, up to 16GB of RAM, JBL speakers, optionaly integrated TV tuner, optional backlight keyboard, 720p HD webcam, and USB 3.0.
There’s no word on pricing, but we assume we will have that info soon.
Update: The XPS 14, 15, and 17 are avaialble now and start at $899.99, $849.99, and $949.99 respectively at the Dell online store.
Clevo X7200 Gaming Laptop with Dual GeForce GTX 480M on Sale
Taiwanese laptop maker Clevo has released the X7200 17.3-inch gaming notebook, featuring dual GeForce GTX 480M video cards and Intel desktop CPUs.
Besides two Nvidia GeForce GTX 480M GPUs in SLI configuration with 2GB of GDDR5 video memory, the Clevo X7200 comes with the Intel Core i7 LGA1366 processor, up to the six-core i7-975, and has three DDR3 SoDIMM memory slots for up to 12GB of RAM. There are three 2.5″ hard drive bays with RAID 0/1/5 support, and a Bly-ray or DVD optical drive.

Acer Announces New Aspire, TravelMate Laptops for 2010
Acer has announced the new consumer-oriented Aspire and business-class TravelMate laptops, all based on the 2010 Intel Core processor family.
The 15.6-inch Aspire 5942 and 18.4-inch Aspire 8942 are entertainment notebooks and feature “first-class graphics solutions”, up to 1280GB of storage using dual hard drives, up to 8GB of DDR3 memory, and optionally integrated TV tuner and Blu-ray optical drive.
HP Pavilion dv6t, dv7t Now with Core i3, i5 CPUs
Hewlett-Packard has refreshed the HP Pavilion dv6t and dv7t consumer laptop series, which now include Intel Core i3 and i5 processor options instead of older Core 2 Duo CPUs.
The 15.6-inch dv6t and 17.3-inch dv7t are configurable with the i3-330M, i3-350M, i5-430M, and i5-520M chips, as well as with the NVIDIA GeForce G 105M 512MB and GeForce GT 320M 1GB dedicated graphics cards. Additionally, the dv6t can be ordered with the integrated GMA HD graphics only.
HP Pavilion dv4i with Core i5 Released
Hewlett-Packard has released the HP Pavilion dv4i, a 14.1-inch consumer laptop with the latest Intel Core i5 processor.
Along with the Core i5-520M or i5-540M with integrated graphics on the CPU, the Pavilion dv4i features up to 8GB of DDR3 memory, up to 500GB of hard drive space, optional ATI Radeon 4550 512MB dedicated graphics, and a DVD burner or Blu-ray combo drive.
HP Pavilion dv7t Quad Edition Overview
The HP Pavilion dv7t Quad Edition series, Hewlett-Packard’s 17.3-inch entertainment and multimedia laptop has been released recently.
The dv7t Quad features the latest quad-core Intel Core i7 720QM or 820QM processor, whereas the standard Pavilion dv7t comes with the dual-core Intel Core 2 Duo CPU. The Quad Edition includes the Nvidia GeForce GT 230M 1GB video card, up to 8GB of DDR3 memory, up to 1TB of hard drive space using dual HDDs, and a DVD burner or Blu-ray combo drive. The 17.3″ LED-backlight display has a resolution of 1,600×900 pixels and is offered with a choice of edge-to-edge glass.

The 15.6″ display has a resolution of 1366×768 pixels and uses LED backlight.

Hewlett-Packard has launched the 15.6″ HP Pavilion dv6t Quad, 17.3″ dv7t Quad, and 18.4″ dv8t Quad Edition entertainment notebook series, based on Intel Core i7 quad-core mobile processors and Windows 7 operating system.
Along with the Core i7-720QM 1.6GHz or i7-820QM 1.73GHz CPU and 64-bit Windows 7 Home Premium or Professional Edition, the Pavilion Quad laptops include the Nvidia GeForce GT 230M 1GB dedicated video card, up to 8GB of DDR3 memory, and a DVD or Blu-ray optical drive. The dv6t Quad comes with up to 500GB of hard drive space, while the dv7t Quad and dv8t Quad provide up to 1TB of storage using two hard drives.
Dell Inspiron Mini 10 Available for Purchase, Starts at $399
The Dell Inspiron Mini 10 10.1-inch netbook is now available for purchase on Dell.com, with a preliminary ship date of 04/02/2009.
According to the product page, the 2.86-pound Mini 10 comes with the Intel Atom Z520 1.33GHz or Atom Z530 1.6GHZ processor, Intel’s Poulsbo chipset with the GMA 500 integrated graphics, 1GB of DDR2 memory, a 120GB or 160GB hard drive, 3-cell battery, and Windows XP Home OS. The seamless display has a 16:9 aspect ratio, 1024×576 resolution, LED backlight, and glossy finish.
Eurocom to Launch World’s First Intel Core i7-Based Laptop
Canadian PC retailer Eurocom is planning to launch the D900F Phantom i7, the “world’s first” laptop with Intel’s Core i7 processor.
Along with the Core i7 920, 940 and 965 quad core CPUs, designed for desktop PCs, the 17-inch workstation/gaming notebook will feature the Intel X58 chipset, Nvidia’s GeForce G280, 9800GTX, or Quadro FX3700 graphics solution with 1GB of video memory, up to 1.5TB of storage, and up to 8GB of DDR3 system memory. There are also optional Blu-ray optical drive and TV tuner.
Asus Eee PC T91, T101H Convertible Netbooks Unveiled
At the ongoing 2009 CES Show in Las Vegas, Asustek is displaying the Asus Eee PC T91 and Eee PC T101H convertible netbooks that feature 8.9-inch and 10-inch touchscreen displays respectively.
Besides the touch-enabled panels with a 180 degree rotatable hinge, the Eee PC T91 and T101H include the Intel Atom Z520 processor and run Windows XP operating system. The company revealed that the T91 model features a built-in GPS receiver, TV tuner, and an FM transmitter. On the other side, the T101H sports a new type of Eee PC keyboard with a MacBook-like “island layout”.
ASUS W90 High-End Entertainment Notebook Unveiled
Asustek showcases a new high-end entertainment notebook – the ASUS W90 – at the ongoing 2009 CES Show in Las Vegas.
The W90 is a desktop replacement laptop with a 18.4- or 17-inch display, depending on model, the ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4870 X2 or HD 3850 X2 dual graphics, or a single NVIDIA GeForce 9800 GS GPU, and the Intel Core 2 Duo processor. The system is based on the Intel X38 chipset and has three SO-DIMM slots for up to 6GB of DDR2 memory. Asustek’s high performance notebook is additionally equipped with the Turbo Gear function, which allows users to overclock the machine by “up to 25%”.
