Lenovo has announced the IdeaPad Y560p and Y460p entertainment laptops, featuring 2nd Generation Intel Core “Sandy Bridge” processor, new storage features.
The 15.6-inch Lenovo IdeaPad Y560p and 14-inch IdeaPad Y460p will be available with up to Core i7 “Sandy Bridge” chips, Lenovo’s RapidDrive technology that combines up to 750GB of hard drive capacity with 32GB of solid state drive storage to speed up laptops’ performance, up to 8GB RAM, JBL speakers and Dolby Home Theater audio, a “metal hairline etching exterior”, and metalic gray or white interiors.

Lenovo officially announced today the recently leaked IdeaPad U260 ultraportable laptop with a 12.5-inch 16:9 display, up to an Intel Core i7 processor, and a stylish design.
The Lenovo IdeaPad U260 is expected to be available today on the Lenovo website with a starting price of $899.

Lenovo is going to release the IdeaPad U260 ultraportable laptop, featuring a 12.5-inch display and Intel’s ultra-low voltage processors, according to leaked info.
The IdeaPad U260 weighs 3.04 pounds and is 0.71-inch thick. It will reportedly ship with the Core i3 or i5 ULV CPUs, 4GB of RAM, a 320GB hard drive, and a 4-cell battery for “4 hours of runtime”. The unusually sized 12.5″ screen has a 720p resolution and anti-glare coating.

Lenovo’s IdeaPad V560 15.6-inch affordable WiMAX notebook for small business users is now available for purchase in the USA.
The IdeaPad V560 is offered for $549.99 at Best Buy, which is currently the only place where you can order the laptop. Besides built-in WiMAX mobile broadband an Wi-Fi connectivity, the V560 model features the Intel Core i3-370M 2.4GHz processor, Intel integrated graphics, 4GB of DDR3 memory, a 500GB hard drive with Windows 7 Home Premium pre-installed, and a DVD burner. The display resolution is 1366 x 768 pixels, but we don’t know if it’s glossy or anti-glare.

Lenovo has released the 15.6-inch IdeaPad Z565 affordable multimedia laptop.
Unlike the Intel-based Z560, the Lenovo IdeaPad Z565 features AMD’s processors. Available models in the U.S market have the Turion II P520 2.3GHz or N530 2.5GHz dual-core CPUs, ATI Radeon HD4200 integrated or Radeon HD5470 512MB discrete graphics, 4GB of DDR3 memory expandable to 8GB, 320GB of hard disk space, and a DVD burner.

Lenovo has announced the 15.6-inch IdeaPad Y560d, the company’s first notebook with a 3D display.
The entertainment-oriented IdeaPad Y560d features the TriDef 3D technology solution with a 3D screen, software and glasses, the Intel Core i7-620M processor, switchable graphics combining an integrated GPU and the ATI Radeon HD 5730 1GB dedicated video card, up to 8GB of DDR3 memory, up to 750GB HDD, optional RapidDrive 64GB SSD, and optional Blu-ray optical drive.
Lenovo IdeaPad U160 Ultraportable Now Available
The Lenovo IdeaPad U160 11.6-inch ultraportable laptop with Intel’s new ultra-low voltage processors is now available for purchase in the US.
There are two models offered by Lenovo.com – the lower-end U160-08945JU with the Intel Core i5-520UM ULV processor, a 320GB hard drive and Windows 7 Home Premium 32-bit, and higher-end U160-089455U with the i7-640UM ULV, 500GB HDD capacity and 64-bit Home Premium.
Lenovo IdeaPad U Series Laptops Refreshed
Lenovo has added the the 11.6″ U160 ultraportable, and U460 and U460s thin and light 14-inchers to the IdeaPad U Series lineup.
“Measuring less than one-inch thick and 3.8 pounds, the 14-inch U460 and U460s can be configured with up to an Intel Core i7 processor with Intel Turbo Boost Technology for impressive performance in a thin and light design. The U460 features a standard volt processor, while the U460s and U160 come with ultra-low volt processors for even longer battery life and lower power consumption. The U160 weighs a mere 2.9 pounds and is 0.9 inches at its thinnest point,” the press release says.
Lenovo Announces IdeaPad Z Series Entertainment Notebooks
Lenovo has announced the IdeaPad Z Series affordable entertainment notebooks, initially including the 13.3-inch Z360 and 15.6-inch Z560 and Z565.
The IdeaPad Z360 and Z560 feature the new 2010 Intel Core processors and Nvidia GeForce graphics, while the IdeaPad Z565 has the AMD Phenom II CPU and an integrated ATI Radeon GPU.

The Lenovo IdeaPad Y560 15.6-inch multimedia-oriented laptop is now available for purchase in the US.
The Y560 models listed at Lenovo.com feature Intel’s Core i3, i5 and i7 processors, up to the i7-720QM, the ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5730 1GB dedicated video card, maximum 8GB of DDR3 RAM, up to 500GB hard drive, a DVD burner, a 6-cell battery, and Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit OS. The product pages reveal that the notebook has switchable graphics combining the Intel HD integrated and Radeon 5730 discrete GPU. However, there’s no info on that feature on pages where customers configure the laptop.
Asus, Toshiba, Sony – Most Reliable Laptop Makers
The most reliable laptops in the market are those from Asus, Toshiba, and Sony, followed by Apple and Dell, according to a Sqare Trade’s reasearch which is based on a 3-year malfunction rates projection.
The failure rates for Asus, Toshiba, Sony, Apple and Dell notebooks are 15.6, 15.7, 16.8, 17.4, and 18.3 percent, respectively.
