The Samsung NP530, their first ultrabook model, was announced two weeks ago in Asia, and now it’s available for pre-order in Europe.
The Series 5 NP530 starts at 799 Euros (1,041 US dollars), offering the Intel Core i5 2467M 1.6GHz processor, 500GB/16GB HDD/SSD hybrid drive, 4GB of DDR3 memory, a 1366×768 display resolution, and a four-cell 44Whr battery, providing a rated run time of up to 6.5 hours.
Asus Eee PC 1225B 11.6″ Laptop with AMD APUs Unveiled
Specifications and details of the new Asus Eee PC 1225B AMD-powered ultraportable notebook have been published on Asustek’s website.
The Eee PC 1225B has a 11.6-inch display, which is smaller than on its precursor, the 12.1-inch 1215B. However, the screen resolution remained the same – 1366×768 pixels. The 1225B has newer AMD Fusion chips, when compared to the 1215B. These are the higher-end E-450 and lower-end C-60 Accelerated Processing Units, both with dual CPU cores and Radeon integrated graphics.

First Samsung Ultrabook Announced
Samsung has announced their first ultrabook.
The 13.3-inch Series 5 ultrabook is 14.9mm thin and weighs 1.4kg. It’s powered by Intel’s Core i5 ULV processor and comes with a 128GB solid state drive or a 500GB/16GB HDD/SSD hybrid, as well as with up to 8GB of RAM and Intel HD integrated graphics.

LG Electronics has entered the ultrabook market, releasing the LG Xnote Z330 with a 13.3-inch display.
The Xnote Z330 has a smaller footprint than standard 13.3″ notebooks, thanks to 8mm thin LCD bezel. The ultrabook is 14.7mm thin and weighs 1.21kg. Inside the Z330 there are Intel’s Core i5-2467M or Core i7-2637M CPUs, 4GB of system memory, and a 120GB or 256GB solid state drive.
Lenovo ThinkPad X130e Ruggedized Ultraportable for Students Launched
Lenovo oficially released today the Lenovo ThinkPad X130e, a 11.6″ ruggedized laptop for students.
The ThinkPad X130e is powered by either AMD Fusion E-300 and E-450 or Intel Core i3-2637M ULV processors, with integrated AMD Radeon and Intel HD graphics, respectively. It supports up to 8GB of RAM and will ship with hard or solid state drives with Windows 7 pre-loaded.
