Sony VAIO AW 18.4″ Desktop Replacement Now on Sale
The recently announced Sony VAIO AW desktop replacement notebook, featuring an 18.4-inch display and Intel’s Centrino 2 technology, is now available for purchase.
SonyStyle offers the VAIO VGN-AW190 customizable models, as well as some preconfigured AW systems. The AW190 laptop is configurable with one of the latest Intel Core 2 Duo processors, up to 4GB of DDR2 RAM, a Blu-ray reader or writer, and up to 1 terabyte of hard drive space using two 500GB HDDs. The notebook is also offered with hybrid storage: 564GB (64GB solid state drive + 500GB HDD) or 628GB (128GB SSD + 500GB HDD).
Sony VAIO TT – World’s Lightest Blu-Ray Computer
Sony today unveiled the VAIO TT laptop, “the world’s lightest computer with Blu-ray Disc technology”.
The Sony VAIO TT Series ultraportable, that weighs 2.87 pounds and is less than 1-inch thin, has a 11.1-inch 1366 x 768 display. The screen features LED backlight and has a 16:9 aspect ratio, used in many HD movies. The Blu-Ray drive is incorporated in select models and reads and writes BD, DVD and CD discs.
Sony VAIO NS Series Overview
The recently announced Sony VAIO NS Series 15.4-inch consumer notebooks, based on Intel Centrino Duo Processor Technology, are now available for preorder.
The offered NS laptops at SonyStyle are preconfigured models, featuring the Intel Core 2 Duo T5800 CPU at 2GHz, GMA 4500MHD integrated graphics, 3GB or 4GB of DDR2 system memory, and a 250GB hard drive. Select models include a Blu-ray Combo optical drive, while the others come with a DVD burner.
Sony NS, CS Series Laptops Announced, Feature Blu-Ray
Sony has introduced the VAIO NS and CS multimedia notebooks with Blu-ray Disc Combo drives in select models.
The VAIO NS features a 15.4-inch display, while the CS has a 14.1″ screen. The both laptops feature Intel Core 2 Duo processors and GMA 4500MHD integrated graphics.

Sony VAIO Type A 18.4″ Multimedia Laptop Unveiled
Sony has unveiled the VAIO type A laptop for photographers and video editors.
The VAIO type A features a 18.4-inch display with LED backlit and a resolution of 1,920×1,080 pixels (full HD), the Intel Core 2 Duo T9400 processor at 2.53GHz, a Blu-ray burner, up to 4GB of RAM, and dual 250GB hard drives.

The newly designed Sony VAIO FW Series multimedia-oriented notebook, which features a 16.4-inch display and Intel’s Centrino 2 technology, is now available for preorder.
The VAIO FW includes the latest Intel Core 2 Duo 45-nanometer processor, the GMA 4500MHD integrated graphics, up to 4GB of DDR2 memory, and up to 400GB of hard drive storage. The laptop comes with a DVD burner, Blu-Ray burner or Blu-Ray combo drive, depending on configuration.

Sony VAIO SR Series Overview
The Sony VAIO SR Series 13.3-inch consumer laptops, based on Intel Centrino 2 technology, are now available for preorder.
Starting at 4.14 pounds, the 1-inch thin VAIO SR features the latest Intel Core 2 Duo 45nm processor, the GMA 4500MHD integrated graphics, up to 4GB of DDR2 memory, a 320GB hard drive, and DVD burner. Its 13.3″ display has LED backlight and a resolution of 1280×800 pixels.
Sony VAIO Z Series Overview
Sony has unveiled recently a new line of ultraportable PCs – the VAIO Z Series 13.1-inch notebooks for “busy executives”.
Weighing just over 3 pounds, the VAIO Z is based on Intel’s Centrino 2 “Montevina” mobile platform. The laptop includes the latest Intel Core 2 Duo 45-nanometer processor, and enables on-the-fly switching between the power-saving GMA 4500MHD graphics chip and the dedicated NVIDIA GeForce 9300M GS 128MB/256MB for better performance. Other core components of the Sony VAIO Z include up to 4GB of new DDR3 memory, up to 320GB hard drive or up to 128GB (64GBx2) of solid state drive storage, and a DVD burner or Blu-Ray burner.
Montevina-Based Sony Vaio FW, Z, SR, BZ Announced
Sony has announced the newly designed Sony VAIO FW, Z, SR, and BZ laptop PC series, based on Intel’s new Centrino 2 “Montevina” mobile platform.
These VAIO laptops include the latest Intel Centino 2 Core 2 Duo 45-nanometer processors. The notebooks feature Intel’s X4500 integrated graphics, dedicated GPUs by ATI and NVIDIA, and new 802.11n wireless modules. Some of the notebooks, particularly the FW and Z series, have new screen sizes of 16.4 and 13.1 inches.
Sony VAIO Laptops with Penryn CPUs Now Available
Sony Refreshes VAIO TZ Series with VGN-TZ298N/XC
Sony Electronics is going to refresh its VAIO TZ 11.1-inch ultraportable notebook series with the VAIO VGN-TZ298N/XC model, which brings several upgrades over the previous TZ laptops, according to leaked information.
The first of the upgrades is a greater data storage capacity. The Sony VAIO VGN-TZ298N/XC has a 64GB solid state drive paired with a 250GB hard drive, while the currently available VAIO TZ laptops ship with up to 48GB of SSD storage or with a 100GB HDD.
Sony to Launch VAIO AR7, FZ4, SZ7 Penryn Laptops
Sony has prepared the VAIO AR7, FZ4, and SZ7 notebooks, featuring the Intel’s first 45-nanometer Core 2 Duo Mobile processors, codenamed “Penryn”, and the “Santa Rosa Refresh” mobile platform.
The leaked specifications of the 17-inch Sony VAIO VGN-AR730E/B, VGN-AR750E/B, and VGN-AR760U/B say these entertainment laptops will be available with the Intel Core 2 Duo “Penryn” T8100 CPU at 2.1GHz, while the top of the line VGN-AR790U/B features the T9300 at 2.5GHz. The systems come with 2GB or 4GB of RAM, and 320GB or 400GB hard drives, depending on model, as well as with Blu-Ray optical drives. Prices of the “Penryn”-based VAIO AR7 notebooks listed on Monstronix website range from $1,678 to $3,257.
Sony VAIO FZ Now in Four Natural Designs
Sony today introduced its Graphic Splash Eco Edition of the VAIO FZ notebooks, available in “four vibrant, natural styles”.
“Inspired by nature, the new designs – Caribbean Water, Clay Earth, Spotted Life and Bloom – make these notebooks the most distinctive PCs on the planet,” the press release says.
Sony VAIO VGN-NR120E/S – The Cheapest Sony Laptop Ever
Sony’s recently unveiled 15.4-inch VAIO NR Series budget notebooks are now available for purchase through Best Buy and Amazon. The VAIO VGN-NR120E/S model offered by Best Buy is priced at $599.99 after instant savings, which is $150 less than the announced starting price of $750 for the NR notebooks.
The lowest-priced Sony laptop ever – VGN-NR120E/S – features the Intel Pentium Dual-Core T2310 mobile processor at 1.46GHz, the Intel GMA X3100 integrated graphics, 1GB of system memory, a 160GB hard drive at 5,400rpm, and a DVD burner. The VAIO NR’s 15.4″ widescreen display provides 1280-by-800 pixel resolution.
