Sony Launches VAIO Holiday 2010 Signature Collection Laptops

Sony has launched the VAIO Holiday 2010 Signature Collection laptops.

The new uniquely styled models include the 8-inch VAIO P mini-laptop with crocodile casing, offered in black and pink colors for $999.99; the 14″ VAIO EA series with black and gold Arabesque designs ($969.99); the 13.1″ VAIO Z with “Infinite Stripes” multi-angled monochromatic pattern of shaded black strips ($2,449.99), as well as Z models with Bordeax Red (starting at $1,899.99) and Glossy Premium Carbon ($4,699.99) designs; and 13.3″ Sangria Red Y series (starting at $749.99). Sony has also included in the Collection the old 11.1-inch VAIO X Gold and X Black ($1,499.99) laptops, and the new Gold VAIO J series all-in-one PC ($1,549.99).

Sony VAIO E, F Laptops Now with New CPUs, GPUs, Displays

Sony VAIO ESony has announced updates to the Sony VAIO E and F Series laptops.

The VAIO E notebooks – 14″ VAIO EA, 15.5″ EB and 17.3″ EC – are now available with the new Intel Core i5-580, i5-460M, and Pentium P6100 processors. The EA and EB got the ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5650 1GB dedicated GPU choice, while the EB and EC are now offered with optional full HD 1080p displays.

Sony Showcases 3D Laptop Prototype

Sony VAIO 3DSony is showcasing a 3D-capable laptop prototype at the 2010 IFA Berlin show.

The notebook has a 240Hz 3D LCD and looks like a current VAIO F series model that has a 16-inch display.

Sony’s 3D laptops are expected to hit the market next year.

Sony VAIO M SeriesSony has released the VAIO M netbook, featuring a 10.1-inch LED-backlight 1024×600 pixel display, the Intel Atom Atom N450 1.66GHz processor, and a 6-cell battery.

The VAIO M M11M1E, listed at the Sony UK site, also includes the Intel GMA 3150 graphics, 1GB DDR2 of memory, a 250GB of hard drive with Windows 7 Starter pre-installed, 802.11n WiFi, Bluetooth, an embedded Motion Eye camera, stereo speakers, a microphone, and three USB ports.

Sony Vaio E Series Sony has launched the VAIO E Series, a 15.5-inch stylish laptop featuring Intel processors and ATI dedicated graphics.

The Sony VAIO E comes with the Intel Core i5-520M at 2.40GHz or an Intel Core i3 processor, the ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5470 video card with 512MB VRAM, up to 8GB of DDR3 memory, up to 500GB hard drive space, and a DVD burner or Blu-ray optical drive. Sony VAIO YSony has recently unveiled the VAIO Y 13.3-inch ultraportable notebook series, featuring an Intel ultra-low voltage processor, a 1.2″ thin profile, and a starting weight of 3.9 pounds.

Along with the 1.3GHz SU7300 Intel Core 2 Duo ULV CPU, the Sony VAIO Y features the Intel GMA 4500MHD integrated graphics, up to 4GB of DDR3 memory, and up to 500GB of hard drive space. The battery life is up to 8 hours and up to 12 hours with the standard and extended battery, respectively. There’s no built-in optical drive.

Sony VAIO FSony has unveiled at the ongoing 2010 CES Show three new laptops: the VAIO F multimedia notebook, and VAIO Y and Z series ultraportables.

The VAIO F features a 16.4-inch display, an Intel Core i7 quad-core processor, an NVIDIA GeForce dedicated graphics card, optional Blu-ray optical drive, and Windows Home Premium OS. The VAIO F Series will starts at around $1,000 and is available for pre-orders at Sony’s official website.

Sony VAIO X SeriesSony released today the 11.1-inch VAIO X Series, “the world’s lightest notebook”.

The Sony VAIO X Series weighs 1.6 pounds with its standard battery and is 0.55 inch thin. It is based on Intel’s “Menlow” platform and includes an Intel Atom Z550 2GHz processor, the GMA 500 integrated graphics, 2GB of DDR2 RAM, and a 64GB or 128GB solid state drive with Windows 7 pre-installed. The VAIO X doesn’t include a built-in optical drive.

Sony VAIO CWSony has launched the VAIO CW, a 14-inch multimedia laptop featuring an Intel processor and NVIDIA’s dedicated graphics.

The first Sony VAIO CW models listed on SonyStyle.com come with the Intel Core 2 Duo T6600 CPU at 2.2GHz, the NVIDIA GeForce GT230M 512MB or GeForce GT210M 256MB video card, 4GB of DDR3 memory, a 320GB hard drive, and a DVD burner or Blu-ray combo drive. The laptop will be also available with a 500GB HDD and a Blu-ray burner.
