This is the Toshiba Satellite S845. The S855 and S875 look similar.
Toshiba has announced the entertainment-class Satellite S-series notebook PCs, filling the gap between the mainstream L-series and premium P laptops.
Toshiba Satellite – From quality and performance at a value price to the latest in multimedia mobile computing.

We simply love laptop deals involving Core i3 processors and $400 price tags, due to their great price/performance ratio. The Toshiba Satellite C655-S5503, selling for $399.99 at Best Buy, is one of these notebooks.

Toshiba will replace in the 2nd quarter 2012 the P700 series high-performance multimedia laptops with new P800 models including the 15.6″ P850 / P855 and 17.3″ P870 / P875.

Toshiba has unveiled the Satellite C850 / C855 and C870 cheap notebooks featuring Intel or AMD processors, and optional dedicated AMD Radeon graphics.

Toshiba has announced new affordable mainstream laptop line including the Satellite L850 in the most popular 15.6-inch form factor, as well as the 13.3″ Satellite L830 ultraportable and the 17.3″ L870 desktop replacement.
If you are looking an affordable desktop replacement laptop with a large screen and good performance, you should check out the 17.3″ Toshiba Satellite L775-S7307, selling for $350 at Best Buy.
The L775-S7307 includes the Intel Pentium B950 processor at 2.1GHz, accompanied by 4GB of RAM and a 320GB hard drive with Windows 7 Home Premium pre-loaded. The 17.3-inch 1600×900 TrueBrite (glossy) screen is powered by the Intel HD graphics, integrated on the CPU.
The 15.6″ AMD E-300-based Toshiba Satellite C655D-S5302 is a Best Buy Cyber Monday deal with a price of $280.
The Satellite C655D-S5302 is basically the same C655D-S5300 laptop which was selling for $270, with exception of smaller RAM. The C655D-S5302 has only 2GB while the S5300 has 4GB. Besides a lack of an HDMI port, the small amount of installed memory may be a deal breaker for some. On the other side, you can put up to 8GB in this laptop. The RAM type is DDR3 and this component isn’t expensive. You can buy an additional 2GB DDR3 SODIMM module for slightly more than $10 on the market today and upgrade it yourself, but hoping that Toshiba hasn’t occupied both SODIMM slots with two 1GB parts.
The 14″ Toshiba Satellite E305-S1995 with an Intel Core i5 processor is another affordable mainstream laptop choice this holiday season.
With a price of $600 after instant savings, the Best Buy exclusive Toshiba Satellite E305-S1995 is $100 more expensive than the similarly specced 15.6″ Samsung NP-RC512-W02US, but the Toshiba has a few extras such as Blu-ray combo drive, Intel Wireless Display technology, and built-in WiMAX connectivity, as well as a backlight keyboard and aluminum chassis in champagne color.
The Toshiba Satellite C655D-S5300 is yet another pre-Black Friday laptop deal, but it stands out with a price of only $270.
Featuring a common 15.6-inch 1366-by-768 display and the AMD Fusion E-300 processor, the Satellite C655D-S5300 is a spacious laptop but its performance is not great.
The first Black Friday laptop deals for 2011 have leaked. Several Black Friday websites have posted (and removed shortly after due to legal reasons) Radio Shack’s offer which includes a HP Pavilion and a Toshiba Satellite laptop, priced at $399.99 and $299.99 respectively after $150 instant off.
The Intel Celeron B800, a recently released low-end laptop processor, has arrived on the market.
The Toshiba Satellite L735 13.3-inch laptop for kids has replaced the discontinued L635 Kids model.
The updated version – model L735D-S3300 – includes the AMD E-series E300 dual-core processor instead of an Intel Celeron in the L635, as well as memory and hard drive specs bump, from 2GB and 250GB to 3GB and 320GB, respectively. Since it’s based on the standard L735, the Kids version has the same features, such as a DVD burner, a 1366×768 screen, webcam, Wi-Fi, and a media card reader.
Retailers and computer vendors in the U.S. have started offering students with back-to-school laptop deals for 2011 season, including great savings on notebooks, netbooks, and tablet computers.
Along with the L700, Toshiba has released the Satellite P700 series entertainment notebooks for the US market.
Toshiba US has updated the Satellite L series laptop lineup, adding the Satellite L730 / L735 13.3-inch models, 14″ L740 / L745, 15.6″ L750 / L755 and the 17.3″ Satellite L770 / L775.
