The 3.5-pound T115 is powered by the Intel Pentium SU4100 or Celeron 743 ultra-low voltage processor and features DDR3 memory, a hard drive with 250GB or more storage space, a 6-cell battery delivering up to 9 hours of battery life, a 1366×768 LED backlight display, and Windows 7 operating system. The laptop does not include a built-in optical drive.

Weighing at 3.88-pounds, the T135 is powered by Intel’s Pentium SU4100 or SU2700 ultra-low voltage processor and features DDR3 memory, a hard drive with 250GB or more storage space, a 6-cell battery for up to 9 hours of battery life, a LED backlight display with a resolution of 1366×768 pixels, and Windows 7 operating system. Current Satellite U500 / U505Toshiba announced today the 13.3-inch Satellite U505 Touch and 14-inch Satellite M505 Touch laptops, both with touch-screen displays and Windows 7 operating system.

“Users now will have a new choice in ways to interact with their laptop, whether flicking through photos, shuffling files, browsing online or playing games, utilizing Windows Touch-enabled functionality. The new Satellite M505 Touch and Satellite U505 Touch laptops let users tap, drag-and-drop and scroll through files, Web pages and images,” the press release says.

Toshiba Unveils Satellite T100 Ultra-Thin Series

Toshiba Satellite T100 (T135)Toshiba announced today the Satellite T100 Series ultra-thin laptops, featuring Intel’s ultra-low voltage processors.

The first two T100 models are the 13.3-inch Toshiba Satellite T135 and the 11.6-inch T115. Along with the ULV CPUs, the notebooks include DDR3 memory, 250GB or larger hard drives, “up to 9 hours” of battery life with the 6-cell battery, built-in web cameras, HDMI outputs, and Windows 7 OS. The T135 and T115 do not have built-in optical drives.

“Designed directly from customer insight,” the four-unit lineup includes the 14-inch Dell Studio 1440-022B ($750) and Toshiba Satellite M505-S4940 ($650), the 14.1-inch HP Pavilion dv4-1465dx ($746), and the 15.5-inch Sony VAIO VGN-NW125J/T ($800).

Toshiba Satellite A500Toshiba has launched three newly designed Satellite laptop series - the 14-inch M500/M505, 16-inch A500/A505, and 18.4″ Satellite P500/P505.

With prices starting at $700, the Satellites feature Intel’s or AMD’s processors, displays with a 16:9 aspect ratio and LED backlighting in select models, illuminating keyboards, multi-touch trackpads, slot loading DVD drives, a new button for power consumption management, and the Fusion Finish with a new black Sonic pattern.

Toshiba Satellite A350 A355 A355DToshiba’s Satellite A350/A355/A355D Series are the company’s first laptops with a 16-inch display.

Toshiba currently sells the Satellite A350-ST3601 model, while select online retailers offer various A355 and A355D configurations. The Satellite A350/A355 include Intel’s Core 2 Duo processor, whereas the A335D has AMD’s Turion X2. The laptops have up to 4GB of DDR2 memory, up to 400GB of hard drive space, and a DVD burner. The screen on the entertainment-oriented laptops has a resolution of 1366×768 pixels and a movie-friendly aspect ratio of 16:9.

Lenovo, Toshiba, Acer Announce WiMAX Laptops

XOHM WiMAX Launch Event, BaltimoreLenovo, Toshiba, and Acer unveiled yesterday their first notebooks supporting WiMAX, next-generation wireless broadband technology.

The PC makers are now shipping laptops with Intel’s WiMAX/Wi-Fi Link 5050 module, formerly codenamed “Echo Peak.”

Toshiba Satellite E105-S1402Toshiba today unveiled the Satellite E105, a newly designed 14.1-inch laptop, exclusively available at Best Buy stores.

The offered model - the E105-S1402 - is based on the latest Intel Centrino 2 processor technology and comes with the Core 2 Duo P8400 CPU at 2.26GHz, the GMA 4500MHD integrated graphics, 4GB of DDR2 memory, a 320GB hard drive, and DVD burner. The display has a resolution of 1280-by-800 pixels.

Toshiba Satellite NB105Toshiba Mexico has revealed the company’s first netbook - the Satellite NB105.

The Toshiba Satellite NB105 features a 8.9-inch 1024×600 LED backlight display, Intel’s Atom processor at 1.6GHz, 1GB of RAM, a 120GB hard drive, the GMA 950 integrated graphics, a built-in web camera, Wi-Fi and Ethernet connections, three USB ports, and an SD card slot. The NB105 runs Windows XP operating system.

Toshiba SatelliteToshiba has announced that select models of its Satellite notebook PC series are now equipped with AMD “Puma” mobile platform.

The “Puma”-based Satellite laptops, including the P300D, A300D, M300D, U400D, L300D, and L350D, are offered with variations of AMD’s Athlon Dual Core QL, Turion Dual Core RM, and Turion Ultra ZM processors.

Toshiba Satellite X205-SLI5, X205-SLI6Toshiba’s new 17-inch gaming notebooks - the Satellite X205-SLI5 and Satellite X205-SLI6 - are now available for purchase. These laptops feature dual Nvidia GeForce graphics, as well as faster Intel Core 2 Duo “Penryn” processors and more memory than in the previous SLI2 and SLI4 models.

The both preconfigured systems include two NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GT graphics cards in SLI mode, providing 512MB of GDDR3 dedicated video memory.

Toshiba Satellite P305 (S8823)Toshiba has announced the Satellite P305-S8823 17-inch notebook, the company’s first Intel-based model in the newly designed P300/P305 series.

Unlike the AMD Turion 64 X2 powered Satellite P305D, the P305-S8823 features the Intel Core 2 Duo T5550 processor at 1.83GHz. It has the ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3470 video card with 256MB of discrete graphics memory, 3GB of RAM, a 250GB hard drive at 5,400rpm, DVD burner, built-in web camera with face-recognition function, and Harman Kardon stereo speakers. The 17″ display in the laptop provides a resolution of 1440-by-900 pixels.
