Rob if your MacBook Pro is older then Santa Rosa then it can only address 3GB of RAM, unfortunately with this configuration you don't get the benefits of Dual Channal.

I bought this kit after doing a little research for my MacBook Pro Penryn. System Profiler reports the full 4GB, I am noticing speedups in boot/shutdown, game loading and application startup times.

Overall, this memory delivers what it promises, I would highly recommend this kit if you're looking to upgrade your MacBook Pros Memory.

I bought the Corsair VSA4GSDSKIT667C4 Kit. System will not post with the new kit installed (4GB) however 1 original Dimm and 1 new Corsair works fine and reports 3GB Installed.

System Specs - 2.5GHz Mackbook Pro, 512VRAM - M134LL/A

I logged a support request with Corsair and am awaiting a reply.

Anybody else having the same issue?
