I bought this kit after doing a little research for my MacBook Pro Penryn. System Profiler reports the full 4GB, I am noticing speedups in boot/shutdown, game loading and application startup times. Overall, this memory delivers what it promises, I would highly recommend this kit if you're looking to upgrade your MacBook Pros Memory. System will not post with the new kit installed (4GB) however 1 original Dimm and 1 new Corsair works fine and reports 3GB Installed.
