Dell has launched the Inspiron 11z, a new ultraportable laptop that features an 11.6-inch display and an Intel Celeron ultra-low voltage processor.
The 3-pound Dell Inspiron 11z measures 1″ thin. Along with the Celeron 723 at 1.2GHz and the GS45 chipset with Intel’s integrated graphics, the notebook includes 2GB of RAM, a 250GB hard drive, a 3-cell battery, and Windows Vista Home Premium OS. The system doesn’t feature a built-in optical drive.
Its screen has a resolution of 1366×768 pixels and uses LED backlight.
Dell’s Inspiron 11z also sports a 1.3MP web camera and microphone, stereo speakers, 802.11a/b/g WiFi, an Ethernet LAN port, HDMI output, three USB ports, and a 3-in-1 media card reader.
The PC maker says that Bluetooth, mobile broadband, extended battery, and 500GB HDD options for the 11z will be available soon.
The laptop starts at $399 at Dell.com.
