The Dell Inspiron 13, a customizable 13.3-inch consumer laptop, is now available for purchase at the PC maker’s website.
The Inspiron 13 can be configured with an Intel Core 2 Duo processor, up to 4GB of DDR2 memory, and up to 320GB of hard drive space. The laptop comes with the Intel GMA X3100 integrated graphics, which manages the 1280×800 display, and a slot-load DVD burner.
Other features include a built-in 2MP web camera, various 802.11 wireless options, Bluetooth, Ethernet LAN, two USB ports, an ExpressCard slot, 8-in-1 media card reader, Firewire port, and VGA output.
Dell’s Inspiron 13 starts at 4.9 pounds. It has a high-gloss finish and Pacific Blue lid.
The laptop runs Windows Vista Home Premium OS and has a basic price of $699.
The Inspiron 13 is already available at Wal-Mart, as a preconfigured system.

Not cheap though. Add a few options, a 3-year on-site warranty, etc and you are at $1,200.
