Dell is going to refresh its consumer notebook lineup with the Inspiron 1435, 1535 and 1735 series, Engadget reports.
According to a leaked document, the upcoming laptops will feature a new design, “bringing elements of Dell’s premium XPS lineup into reach of mainstream consumers.” As same as current Inspirons, the 1435, 1535 and 1735 will feature various color options. Engadget says all three laptops start at around 1-inch thick and taper up to 1.5 inches thick.
“All three also sport slot-loading drives, with a Blu-ray option, and processors ramp up to Core 2 Duo T5850 2.16GHz chips. 3G options are also available across the lineup, and just about anything else you might find useful in a mid-range laptop,” the report says.
We assume the Inspiron 1435, 1535, and 1735 have 14.1-, 15.4-, and 17-inch displays respectively.
Apparently, the 1535 will be released on May 26th. The 1735 is coming on June 9th, while the 1435 should arrive in October.
We assume the notebooks will have word “Studio” in their names, as adapter listing at Dell’s site suggests.
