Dell has released the 14-inch Inspiron 14z and 15.6-inch Inspiron 15z thin-and-light laptops, powered by Intel’s ultra-low voltage processors.
Measuring 1″ thin and starting at 4.4lbs and 5.1lbs respectively, the 14z and 15z include new Pentium and Core 2 Duo ULV CPUs, the Intel GMA X4500HD integrated graphics, up to 6GB of DDR3 memory, up to 500GB of hard drive space, a DVD burner, and a battery life of more than 8 hours with the 6-cell battery. The ATI Mobility Radeon HD4330 512MB video card option will be available later.
The notebooks also sport a built-in 1.3MP web camera, stereo speakers, HDMI and VGA outputs, WiFi, Gigabit LAN, optional Bluetooth, three USB ports and a 7-in-1 media card reader.
The new Inspirons are available in black and red colors and run Windows Vista Home Premium OS.
Prices start at $649 for the Inspiron 14z and $599 for the Inspiron 15z.
