Dell launched today the updated Inspiron 15 (1545) laptop, which now features a 15.6-inch display.
The screen has a movie-friendly 16:9 aspect ratio, instead of 16:10 used in older 15.4″ Dell Inspiron 15 models.
The new Inspiron 15 comes with Intel’s Core 2 Duo processors, up to 4GB of DDR2 RAM, up to 320 GB of storage capacity, a DVD or Blu-ray optical drive, and built-in webcam.
The PC maker says that select Inspiron 15 15.6″ configurations are available now at Best Buy, with online availability through Dell.com planned for later in January.
However, we have found only one of those laptops. It’s the Inspiron I15-157B model with the Core 2 Duo T6400 CPU at 2GHz, 4GB of RAM, a 320GB HDD, and a DVD burner. Best Buy sells it for $599.99.
Other features of the I15-157B include the Intel GMA 4500MHD integrated graphics that manages the 1366 x 768 display, a 802.11b/g wireless LAN module, three USB ports, and a 8-in-1 media card reader.
The laptop runs Windows Vista Home Premium 64-bit OS.
