Dell Inspiron Mini 10 with Atom N450 Announced

Dell has released the refreshed Inspiron Mini 10 10.1-inch netbook, featuring Intel’s next-generation Atom N450 processor and a new design.

Along with the N450 at 1.66GHz and the Intel GMA 3150 graphics, the new Inspiron Mini 10 includes 1GB of DDR2 memory, up to 250GB of hard drive space, a 3- or 6-cell battery offering with up to 9.5 hours of operation, and 802.11 b/g WiFi.

The 10.1″ display has a resolution of 1024×600 pixels. The 1366×768 screen on the Mini 10 will be available later.

Optional features are Broadcom’s Crystal HD media accelerator, a built in HDTV tuner, optional Bluetooth and mobile broadband connections, and built-in “Wi-Fi location enabled GPS”.

The Mini 10 runs Windows 7 Starter, Windows XP Home, or Ubuntu Linux OS and will be offered with a variety of color and artwork design choices.

The netbook is expected to be available in early January for a starting price of $299.
