Dell will launch the Latitude D630 and Latitude D830 laptops featuring Intel’s forthcoming Santa Rosa notebook platform in April, NotebookReview reports.
“Dell has leaked the names of the Latitude D630 and Latitude D830 notebooks on their driver download pages. Though information is scarce, a couple of university websites are indicating a late April release for these business laptops that will have the updated Intel Santa Rosa platform,” the report says.
NotebookReview has learned that one Swiss University website indicates the Latitude D630, based on next generation Intel Centrino platform, will be available to students there at the end of April. On the other side, the Princeton University page indicates students coming in for the Fall of 2007 will have an option to buy the D630.
According to recent reports, the Santa Rosa platform also known as Centrino Pro, will be released in May.
