The Dell Latitude E4310 thin and light 13.3-inch laptop for business users is coming soon, according to the PC maker’s website.
Starting at 3.4 lbs, the 1.1-inch thin E4310 includes the Intel Core i5-520M or 540M processor, Intel HD integrated graphics, up to 8GB DDR3 memory, up to 500GB hard drive or up to 256GB solid state drive storage, a built-in optical drive bay that can be populated with a DVD or Blu-ray drive or left empty for lower weight, and a 3- or 6-cell battery.
The new Latitude has a 1366×768 anti-glare LED display, a built-in 2MP web camera with microphone, stereo speakers, and a keyboard with a pointer in the middle and optional backlight.
Regarding networking, there are 802.11n Wi-Fi, optional mobile broadband and WiMAX, Bluetooth, Gigabit Ethernet, and optional 56k modem, while for business-class security the laptop has a fingerprint reader, optional full hard drive encryption, a Smart Card reader, and the TPM 1.2 module.
Dell’s E4310 has one USB and one eSATA/USB combo port, a 7-in-1 media card reader, an ExpressCard slot, a VGA output and a docking connector.
The notebook runs Windows 7 or Ubuntu Linux OS.
There’s no info on pricing.
